ok ok ok we lost i want to point that out first. That being said Casualobserver can you defent the rocketman walking over to the bg student (GA) section and giving us the finger?? or when he walked over and gave ust the "Suck it" sign about 8 times?? how about that what excuse do you have for that i wonder?

As for my fellow falcon fans the game is over we know all about ut and how much they suck!!! Let this guy go he has lost in every thing he has said and he still won't admit it.

But sometimes there is more to a game than the winner and loser, like the little girl ( she was 7 and wearing a rocket sweatshirt, the reason she was down in the bg student sec was so she could be closer to the field, the mascots and the cheerleaders, we welcomed her with open arms she was a really sweet girl) next to me who got the finger from the rocketman, or the guy that spit on my friend... not saying it doesn't happen here at bg cause i'm sure it does but man come on give us some slack man we are just trying to make a point that's all.

Like I said, I is really amazing that you people function in society. You don't even understand the simplest of reasoning. I am guessing that most of you are on the farm or in some time-clock punching job where you do not have to think much.

To the idiot that does not understand how noise travels, I am sorry that you cannot understand how the speakers work and the thundersticks work. You are the typical idiot that mows his lawn and talks really really loud because he thinks people can't hear him just because he can't hear them.

Impressive how backwards you people are.

Now, admittedly, I am no sound expert (rather, I am a history major), but is the fact that the speakers were even louder when I was below them than they were where the speakers were pointed invalid, too? And by right below them, I do mean directly under the Blade sign directly behind the middle of the student sections. And is the fact that the speakers are arrayed about 130 degrees with the center line being the middle of the field also a negation of my point?

Just what do you do for a living, CO? I hope you don't work sound anywhere, because you probably suck hard at it.

I just have one more question for you:

When is Toledo going to make the transition from a trade school to a full-fledged community college?

True, but how did he know we did. He can't possibly have been able to read the scoreboard.

This joker is the best. I mean it is like watching a car wreck happen again and again. He actually seems to believe he sounds intelligent. I say let him continue, it does more to underscore what most of us think of Little Detroit fans.

Go read the whole he fell into about admissions policy in Ohio, its a hoot.

The guy would stand at the golden gates and debate heaven and hell with God.

I don't think he'd be at the gates long enough to debate much of anything.

He's not even that much fun to debate because he lacks the ability to organize his thoughts coherently and he completely lacks the cognitive skills needed to understand our positions. As a result, he just lashes out like a big, dumb dog on a chain. Bark..bark..bark...

The funniest part of all of this is that if you drive for 20 minutes in any direction from the crack houses and broken down roads in central Toledo you will end up being surrounded by farm land.

So dude, if you think that this provides you with some social heirarchy over us then amen to you. Enjoy yourself in the fantasy land that is Toledo...over taxed citizens, delapidated housing, run-down infrastructure, bankrupt city government, crime, etc.

Okay, I usually stick mostly to the band forum and just read in here without posting.... but this was just too ridiculous for me to keep quiet about. See, sound travels via a longitudinal, pressure wave (unlike the transverse, particle-like wave of light) which is why sound doesn't travel in a straight line like light does, but can travel around corners. So your excuse of being BELOW the speakers isn't much of a reason for you to be unable to hear them. This also means that sound bounces... especially off things like your oversized press box or whatever that is. So whatever sound DID manage to bypass you, would bounce and come back. If you are still confused, try taking seventh-grade science again.

That was the first way you displayed your ignorance about sound. The second way was in your knowledge-- or lack thereof-- of musical instruments. Yes, the band was facing away from you (well, sort of, but I'll be generous and give you this one), which means their sound went away from you, right? Well, not exactly. Yes, brass instruments are mostly directional. But guess what? You don't have an all-brass band. The fact that you have woodwinds and percussion sort of erases this excuse, as you can hear them just as well from the back as from the front.

Third... and actually most astonishing to me... are your fans THAT unobservant?? How often does the band PLAY pre-game? (Hint: before every home game.) A marching band's pre-game show doesn't really vary too much from game to game. Your fans knew what was coming next if they are pay attention at ALL... and if they don't, well, that says something about the class of your fans. And even if they didn't know... ya think the colorguard all standing still and half the stadium standing and facing the flag might've given them a clue?

(Oh and I also loved how your football team went to show respect to your band after the game.... that's really classy..... oh no wait, I'm confused.... that's OUR football team that does that, isn't it?
