Earlier in the day, Meyer would not directly comment on reports that the Fighting Irish were courting him, but players said their coach acknowledged that Notre Dame and other schools were interested.
"It was nice to hear from him and we appreciate it. Whatever happens with him, we're behind him," defensive back Bo Nagahi said. "He's a great coach and he deserves what he's getting."
He TALKED with his players!!! Maybe he did learn a little bit of courtesy (sp) during his midnight departure from Bowling Green. But seriously, at least this time he is doing the classy thing and talking straight up with his players. Not that this is a surprise to any of them. He also said in the article that he has every intention of coaching Utah in thier bowl game regardless of where he is next year. I for one am over his departure. I wish him the best of luck under the golden dome next year. Having "Touchdown Jesus" at yoru back can't help either.
