Like I said, I don't think he will but certainly I wouldn't rule it out either. I think if it wasn't for his unsuccessful stint at UT it would be much more likely. I think he needs more than a 7-6 season under his belt after that.

factman, i'm genuinely curious. I would assume you're in college athletics administration, correct?

WTF is your problem...you asked the question once...I think it's pretty clear that the answer is "none of your business".....

It's not like a person HAS to work in college athletics to have an opinion about our AD, right?
An opinion? Sure, everyone can have an opinion. But, an informed opinion where you develop logical and reasonable conclusions based on what REALITY is? No, quite honestly, he/she can't. The anonymous name "factman" is actually extremely ironic.

Really? If you're concerned about the thought process behond the opinion, wouldn't it make more sense to ask "why don''t you like our AD?"...and so far as anonymity is concerned, I doubt seriously that GABN42 is your given or "government" name

Well here's a sign of relief.

East Carolina: FootballCoachScoop has BREAKING NEWS and FIRST TO REPORT that Middle Tennessee State Head Coach Rick Stockstill has been offered the head coaching position and will be named Head Coach this week.
As nice as the press box was, I'm loving being able to root for the Falcons now. Too bad I have to do so from Illinois.

A Reflector report says MTSU coach turned down the job offer, and Clawson was again mentioned as a candidate.

ECU may try hard to go after him, but two things working against ECU. First it is literally a lateral move, NC is not that fertile of a recruiting state. Second this late in the game if you switch you have zero time to get a class together. For those two reasons I can't see Clawson leaving BG right now. If it was a BCS school maybe, but not for C-USA.

52 Skip Holtz East Carolina C-USA $1,160,000

102 Dave Clawson Bowling Green MAC $300,000

Seems if they come knocking the best decision for his family is to go, by about 900,000 reasons.

Not a lateral move at all. The rest of your point I'll agree with, but I think it's pretty clear that BG is a middle-of-the-road MAC team. A Conference USA school that has seen players like Pinkney and Chris Johnson come through recently is most definitely a step up. They've won two straight conference titles and made bowl games four out of five years.

About half of footballcoachscoop.com is reliable. The other half is speculation, rumors, and wishful thinking.

Do not ever use footballcoachscoop.com as a source. They would take stuff off of footballscoop.com and post it as their own, and they also will take info from anyone without verifying it. At one point their site was taken offline because of a pending lawsuit from the folks at footballscoop.com. Anyway, footballcoachscoop.com is not credible at all. Anything they get right is because they stole it from another site.
