I hate to burst your bubble man, but the only thing he'll be the holder of if he averages 139 yards per game next season is NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Award
no offense taken i promise. but he is probably coming back next year. he is on schedule to graduate in december 06 (which his mother really wants). he is projected second round nfl pick this year. for his senior year he will be in top 5 heisman watch, setting himself up for the mega bucks.
This was in another post of mine...but I foresee getting a quick lead and that might force them out of their game plan quicker than ours. That's a difference maker! They had a game earlier this year where an eventual .500 team (which probably automatically makes them Bowl eligible out of this conference too) went up 21-0 and Memphis was never in it for the rest of the game. We have a penchant for scoring 14 before some teams get a first down, while that may indeed happen, we have to prevent the second half debacle (like leading by 20 at half and still losing).
Time will tell ...T-minus 2 weeks.

The game to which you are referring is the Cincinatti game. While many of us were afraid of that game being a letdown game...NO ONE got the number of that truck...lol....
FWIW, I think the two conferences have just as many 6-5 teams in bowl games...so don't start with the conference cracks...

The bowl record was set in the 2001 GMAC Bowl: Marshall 64, East Carolina 61.
While there will be a lot of points scored in this bowl game, surely this record is pretty safe. 135 points is 3 scores per quarter per team. That's a touchdown or FG every 2.5 minutes.....wow.
Looking forward to the game with you guys. You folks are great fans; you are are passionate in your love for school and team, but can do that with out putting down your opponents.....other than in fun. Schadenfreude has been on and off our board for awhile and is always welcome back.

I should have added "in overtime." That said, I think they just had one overtime.
