There's multiple "confirmations" now that he's accepted the job. And Toledo's board is already playing the sour grapes game. Its quite funny actually.

Wow, to go from a guy with Ron Zook's experience/qualifications and bring in (and pay $$$ for) a guy like Tim Beckman? The joke is on Chief Illiniwek and the people fronting the cash.

They contacted an number of guys before Timmy and were turned down...this seems like an "oh crap...I wish we had a time machine" kind of hire...

I have confirmation from one of the UT players... He is certainly gone barring any kind of June Jones type of thing.

Every little boy from Ohio's dream....to be the head football coach at the University of Illinois.

Hey! The last guy with BG ties that took over for Zook hired some great assistants to lead his team to a National Championship.

Urban Meyer's coaching staffs here were phenomenal...Brandon was a HC, Beckman is a now a B1G coach (albeit at a lame program), Mullen is a SEC HC, Stud is the OC for the top team in the country, Billy Gonzalez is the WR coach and passing game coordiantor there and Zach Azzani is the OC at Western Kentucky....

guess I see why Timmy 'wasn't sure' if he'd be back for Bowl Practice this afternoon.
Being introduced as the new head of the North American Natives now.

Looks like he's following the 'ol Denny Stolz method of moving up the ladder or where ever.

A lot of players commented how weird he was acting yesterday at practice. Such is the life of a college football coach nowadays, you go from a coordinator to somewhat major D-1 coach in 3 years.

Clawson should have tried coaching with what you got instead of coaching to alienate. Maybe BGSU record would have been 14-2 like Tim's the last two years

What does "coaching to alienate" mean?
