BG sold out of tickets

According to the BGAthletics Twitter account, they have secured additional tickets and they will be available later today.

Kudos to the Athletic department for making this happen... and quickly.

I originally posted this under "MAC Championship Roll Call" but it also fits here.

Count me in as one of the first 3000 to purchase my 10 tickets as a Season Ticket Holder who certainly would have paid $20.00 But $10.00, $15.00 or $20.00, it's still one heck of a deal and I for one am glad that we have the opportunity to see quality FBS games for a ridiculously low cost!

We often talk about how we wish we were more "Big Time" yet we gripe over deals like the ones for this Championship Game in a first class NFL stadium.

This from the Big Ten Championship website:

"Tickets will range from $50 to $90 depending on the seat location and each order will be limited to eight tickets." BTW these tickets have been on sale since July.

I went to the link provided and tried to purchase 2 of the "cheapest" tickets (for $57.00 per ticket!) but could not find 2 at that price point.

Now, I would not pay $10.00 to watch that game because I have no rooting interest, but if we as a fan base want to elevate MAC football then we can't "give the product away."

There has to be a value to it or nobody will think it's worth watching. I don't have the answers, but In my humble opinion $20.00 for a game like this played in a facility like Ford Field is a steal, just like the $10.00 or $20.00 I paid for my Military Bowl ticket was a steal!

Everyone's financial situation is different and I certainly do not intend to offend anyone, but if you look at the market of college football ticket prices we are getting a bargain of epic proportions!

There are no printed tickets and you have to pick up all tickets from Will Call. That seems like a potential cluster if everyone is trying to enter around the same time and pick-up tickets at the windows. Would it be better to wait and buy at the door because the line at those windows will be much shorter?

You can pick them up at the Stroh if you purchased through BG.

I haven't bought my tickets yet. Driving over to Bowling Green to pick-up my tickets at the Stroh and then drving back up to Detroit isn't convienient anyway. Maybe will call won't be as bad if the majority of the BG-sold tickets have already been picked-up?

That's kind of where I am...so much going on right now...Fri night might be the ony weekend time we can put up a tree and decorate it prior to New Year's.

That was fast...must be an unbelievably high demand for tickets for this game. Great to see.

EDIT: I just talked to Craig Sandlin, Asst. AD and he said they have few tickets still left.

I was able to go online and get them. I hate when employees don't know what is going on.

Craig says they have 100 tickets left and they will not be getting any additional ones. Expecting them to be sold out shortly.

I ordered my tickets last night online through BG for the $10 and they are right along the sidelines and not end zones seats. I had the choice of three sections right along the sideline actually.
