You mean like Kareem Hunt has done for the past 2 weeks on Primetime games.
I haven't seen the intros, was he not announcing UT?
Regardless, we all know where he went, and every prospective UT Recruit for the next 5 years will hear about it too.
I make no bones that I vastly prefer the NFL game over college ball. Outside of catching a few BG games the only reason I watch college ball is to keep my eyes open for upcoming NFL talent. It's always saddened me how little NFL talent we've produced. And those we have produced have been linemen, mostly.
We haven't had a viable skill position guy in the NFL in my time as a BG fan. I hope Roger helps change that.
Good for Roger, hope he seizes the opportunity. Unfortunate he's on likely the second to worst team in the league. Even being likely the top target, the Giants are a disaster on offense with little run games and a poor OL. But, I hope he has success and can turn it into a bigger role after this season.
You sir are a negative nancy. I'm 100% convinced you have something personal against him. They have Engram who is the TE and him right now. That's literally it......they didn't really have to depend on throwing since they were leading the entire game.

I have nothing against Roger but if he is truly the #1 WR you think he would been targeted more than twice. I hope he succeeds but last night was his time to shine on a national stage.

In Roger's defense, WRs just weren't really part of the game plan last night. I thought he did pretty well on his routes and looked open several times, but they were clearly running a TE/RB strategy, especially once they got out to an early lead.
BG '10
Attended more games than any responsible student should have.
Roger had Aqib Talib on him most of the night. Talib is one of the top cornerbacks in all of the NFL. So they were treating Roger like a #1 receiver. That's a tough match-up for a young guy. Not a lot of opportunities for Roger. Both of his targets came when Eli had to scramble and improvise. The second target should have been another completion for a first down, but Eli was pressured and threw the ball well short of a wide-open Roger.
To be honest, Eli didn't throw to any receivers other than Engram the tight end. They liked that match-up on a Denver linebacker. Eli had very little time to sit in the pocket and let the play develop downfield to a wide receiver.
Let see how this goes the next few weeks.

TY Hilton, 4 targets, 1 catch last night. Manning threw 19 times. Brissett 37.
When you are playing as the #1 receiver and are actually 3rd or 4th you are going fight an uphill battle facing the top corner from another team. Tough matchup.
Wasn't a good performance for Lewis yesterday. 6 targets but only 1 catch.
From CBS Sports
Lewis caught one of his six targets for 12 yards Sunday against the Seahawks.
So much for the "Roger Lewis era." It was unfortunate timing that Lewis became the team's No. 1 wideout with the Broncos and Seahawks on the schedule, and with Sterling Shepard returning, Evan Engram having a massive role and the Giantsbeing a weak passing offense, we wouldn't expect Lewis to be a significant factor going forward.
Fantasy Impact
Lewis and the rest of the Giants' make-shift receiving corps, outside of Sterling Shepard and TE Evan Engram, offer no fantasy value. Lewis can be left on the waiver wire in all leagues.

Damn. This really was his best option to ascend to something.
