GREAT additions - both have name recognition for casual fans, both are D1-A and its home and home. More of these contracts please! Wish we could afford to fill the schedule with these contracts. Reality is not as palatable.drumstix2388 wrote:Good additions, IMHO. I always like to see winnable home and homes, and programs like Marshall can occasionally add a lot to the schedule.BGFalconfromCincy wrote:Home and homes with Marshall and UMass added to the football schedules

I proudly chose to be a Falcon and a Falcon I will remain until the end.
Re: Future Non-Conference Opponent Announced
Marshall is a great home and home, not as sure about UMass. A few programs I would think would make for good home and homes: East Carolina, Coastal Carolina, Western Kentucky, Temple, Old Dominion, Arkansas State, and Appalachian State. Results aside, I really liked the recent series with Memphis and Mid Tennessee State.

I like these matchups, particularly Marshall.

$1.6 million guarantee for Texas A&M game.

These amounts are going up quick, no? I assume it's because the TV money all of the big schools get now?Tony4BG wrote:$1.6 million guarantee for Texas A&M game.

Attended more games than any responsible student should have.

It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

I feel a Barber Shop is a more wise investment. 100 leather chairs costs way more than a few barber chairs and barbers on staff a few hours per day. Add a shaving cream warmer? The 5 stars will be lining up!Flipper wrote:Leather chairs, baby!!!

Re: Future Non-Conference Opponent Announced
We’ll take our first trip to Louisville on 9/20/25, according to an announcement from the program this morning. Pretty cool addition to our non-conference slate for 2025.
We also take trips to UMass and Minnesota that year, so I would assume we round that season out with a home game against an FCS school.

Actually we should be able to have what our peers have without prostituting ourselves. The Texas A&M game is a disgrace. The Marshall and UMass games are terrific. Check out the above and below images as you continue to insist facilities don't matter.

Re: Future Non-Conference Opponent Announced
I had a sport management class in that room and it seats like 40 people. I'm pretty sure it's a classroom that's used for tutoring in Perry Fieldhouse, not the football meeting room (aside from maybe breakout sessions).

Yes, that stuff matters to my generation. Maybe it shouldn't, but it absolutely does. And if you're falling behind in the facilities race, you're falling behind on the field.
