Uh oh, Washington must have actually looked at his lack of accomplishments here at Bowling Green, which includes crippling Covid contract extensions for himself and the basketball coach.
I just heard the Price is Right “wuh, wha, waaa” for the loser…. Ugh. So now we forge on, continuing to go thru all the motions of mediocrity.
It’s not my point of view, it’s a fact.

Correct. Here at BGSU you either quickly get a better job or BGSU let’s you rot it out until you no longer choose to embarrass yourself at the job or someone actually hires you away. BGSU never tells you it is time to move on. Between Covid, and staffing shortages, it’s been really rough on Bob and staff. They had to balance cutting staff, while accepting contract extensions and the burden of hiding that information for two years.

Quick question, since Moose's leaving was (or is) gonna be the best day in a decade for BGSU Athletics :cloppy:, what was the day in 2012 that was so great? A quick look at the BGSUFalcons.com stories in June of 2012 shows football posting the highest APR in school history, several Falcon swimmers preparing for the US Olympic Trials, Jennifer Roos naming Emily London as an assistant coach, the 2012 cross country schedule being announced and 'A Day in the Life of Matt Schilz.' Those are all pretty big days IMO.

(couldn't find a Moose emoji, so I went with Cloppy the Cow)

Given that Bowling Green has won two MAC football titles during the past decade, I think many people would reject this premise.

The trouble with a MAC football championship is the victory celebration ends before the bowl game. Where’s the coach going? Who stays to coach the bowl game? Who will be hired? Big wet clothe over the whole celebration.

Regardless of individual team success the overall BG experience for athletes and fans needs to evolve.

It has evolved in one way. A coach or administrators kid is pretty much expected on the roster whether deserving or not. It’s part of the perks of the job.

Looks like it's good news after all - sources confirmed to Dave Briggs that Rogers had informed Moose the university is moving on.

So basically, Moose is fired but Rogers doesn't want to have to buy him out so he's letting him keep the gig until he gets another one. That explains why the softball head post has been vacant for so long.

So the strategy of keeping Kit Hughes (Kingston with more ego) around and letting him indirectly run the department for Bob didn't work huh? Who could have ever guessed? Bye Bye Bob.
