It would be interesting to go back and see how often hockey has outdrawn basketball and vice versa.

I would guess that through the early 1990s, hockey outdrew basketball.

It may happen again this year.

I don't think it is fair to either program to get into an argument about which is the more popular winter sport.

Let's just say that hockey doesn't take a back seat to basketball here. I think that's fair.
