I think that at Freshmen Orientation, they should bring all of the little newbies down to the stadium and show them a highlight video and bring out the football players who are in town. Show them the best of the best highlights, the packed football stadium, and get them thinking football before they ever make it onto campus.

CapitalFal and Redskins4ever, in my opinion, BOTH have great ideas, that I would like to see acted upon.

My question is - what happens with these (our) ideas??

Anything?

We're all begging for some action, but who is listening?

If someone is listening, who is it and what can/will they do?

It's frustrating when we all want some improvement and it seems we are just peeing in the ocean.

I think a lot of these ideas are great, but I've heard one thing from the Marketing department...there isn't enough money. It could be tough to do your job w/o that.

I think getting people from campus to the games is the big thing. Why don't all of you set up camp and have parties while tailgating outside of the stadium on gamedays? Invite all of your friends, get them to go into the game, and then at halftime come back out for a drink or two. Then you can go back into the stadium to watch the Falcons finish off another opponent.

What I'm saying is that any marketing department can only do so much w/ what they're given, and they need the help of others. I've seen volunteers from the marketing department passing out flyers/info cards, hanging up signs, and even walking the streets of downtown BG w/ posters in the cold...all to market the games. Stop chastising them and help them. Do your own little form of marketing. Invite your parents on campus to watch games, your friends from home. Brag about how good they are and how fun the games are. Word of mouth is one of the best advertising tools any company/school/team can have.

Another thing all of you could do, volunteer your time!!
