This part did make me a bit sick though:
1. Omar Jacobs at the controls of Gregg Brandon's high-octane offense at Bowling Green.
2. Bruce Gradkowski at the controls of Tom Amstutz's high-octane offense at Toledo.
Couldn't they at least come up with some different wording!?!?!
At least they got the order right!
Pat Forde called Omar a "first tier Heisman contender." Wow, wow, wow. I was hoping this would happen - his stats were so eye-popping that he had to be mentioned as a heisman candidate.
Here's a prediction - assuming that Omar is healthy and plays the whole season. If we win our first 3 games, Omar makes it to NY and finishes top 3 minimum.

Giving them the benefit of the doubt that it wasn't due to sheer laziness... it's possible they were trying to sort of humorously emphasize the two teams' similarly impressive strong points...
But more likely, it was laziness.

With the lack of funding coming from the Good ole state of Ohio, it may become BGU before we know it.
Everyone push away from the table and take a deep breath. It's great to get the recognition, the Wisconsin prediction is accurate, and Omar is a legitimate Heisman candidate.
But think for a minute. What's in it for ESPN? Could they possibly want to create a MAC buzz since they are broadcasting a number of weeknight MAC games?
Do they really have anything to lose by hyping Omar for the Heisman since they are the only network that will be showing Omar multiple times?
If they want to hype us like they hyped Boise State, I'll be the last to complain . The PAC 10 signing an exclusive deal with Fox Sports was the best thing to happen to Boise State. ESPN had to have somethig to show on Saturday nights in the fall...
