Those are great points, WH. Just like some folks think our pass D is horrible....but teams HAD to bomb away when BG kept jumping out to 3, 4 or 5 TD halftime leads. I'm not saying our D was great last year but it was the 3rd overall MAC D in 2004, according to Phil Steele's 2005 preview.Warthog wrote:Ok, how about this point then. Sanders and Sharon are going against the opponents best defense and getting their stats in two to three quarters of the game while watching the rest from the bench. Jennings and DeMarco play all four quarters, and most of the second halves of their games their teams are trailing by big amounts. This warrants them passing more to try to catch up and also them get "garbage" stats against the opponents second team defense late in the game. I would like to see a comparison of Jennings, DeLuccio, Sharon, and Sanders of their stats by quarter from last year.
Hammb,
Good point. Kinda like good pitching beats good hitting. But I still like our chances with this offense. The defense should be fine after some tweaking by DC Lovett.
