It was a fine post. But it made me shudder, as I intensely disliked IPCO.
(I hated the fact that the IPCO intro was a requirement for many arts and science majors during the late 1980s. I hated the fact that tests carried a high school style about them: "Name the three kinds of this," or the "four kinds of this." I hated the fact that a BGSU professor wrote the textbook, which came with an expensive workbook -- ytes, a WORKBOOK, for a college course -- which meant all books had to be purchased new every year. In short, it felt very much like a scam. And I didn't care for the material, either.)
