Boise - 45
BGSU - 35
I base this valid predeiction on the following:
1. I know more about football than those employed at the university or professional level because I watch it every Saturday and Sunday. This makes me an expert. Plus, I met Urban Meyer and he shook my hand and 99% of his knowledge rubbed off on me.
2. I am a better player than any of those playing at the university or professional level because I played JV ball in high school. This makes me a pro. Plus, I met former Cincinnati Bengals running back Boobie Clark and he shook my hand and 92% of his ability rubbed off on me.
3. I am a fan of several profressional and collegiate teams and this automatically gives me more knowledge and ability than those who coach, play and market the game.
4. I am all knowing and all powerful because I like to watch sports. No one can tell me different.
Damn, if someone would just offer me a job.

BG - 52
BOISE - 24
I base this on a darn good defensive coordinator having enough time to realize what doesn't work with BG and finding a way to use some of the speed we have up front. He has gotten a chance to see the palyers on the field during game time situations and he will make the necessary adjustments.

BTW excellent previous post Hammb, you've said what I've tried or would've like to have said alot better than I have or could.Salsa wrote:My view of being a fan, the negative aspects.
1-I believe a true fan can express negative feelings. He can express disappointment in the performance of individual players, of the team, and of the coaching staff. He can even say that he would like to see a change in coaches.
2-However, when he claims to know more than the players, when he claims to know more than the coaches, when he presumes to give specifics about how the players should play or how the coaches should coach, then in my mind he is no longer speaking as a fan.
Instead, he is asserting that he knows more than the players or the coaches, that he possesses expertise as a player or a coach. Unless he has significant experience at the college level, this is a very questionable assertion and I think it has nothing to do with being a fan.
Now, have I ever done this? I'm sure I have.
By the way, my prediction--BG 56 Boise St 41.
GO BG!!
Basicly anyone who predicts the score for any game must be assuming there an expert on the game anyway right? Have any of you noticed I rarely , rarely even post a score prediction. I don't like doing it. Its kind of pointless in my opinion. But some of us do it cuz its fun to see if we can all be sports prophets. I have no idea what we'll score or what Boise will score , I'm guessing alot of points.

Our front seven has to step up big time. Boise will try to control the game with their run attack. Georgia and Oregon had trouble stopping the run. If Pope is healthy we win reguardless. We cant look at OSU vs. UL as a barometer for anything because OSU checked out early in the third. UL had a perfect game. I do like our match up against their young secondary, but i wouldnt throw too many fade routes. I trust our D to make some plays.

Six utterly meaningless predictions for the Boise State game...
1) Combined point total will exceed 100.
2) At least twice during the telecast, announcers will say "MAC Conference." At least once, an announcer will make some cute comment about the blue turf.
3) BG's D creates at least one turnover.
4) At least one school record will fall in this game. I'm going with passing yards.
5) Our third quarter woes will continue.
6) I will not be able to stay away for the end of this game.

I would also bet that the announcers will make several references to pototatos. You have no idea how old that gets. Most people in Boise would not know a potato plant growing if they saw one. I grew up most of my life in Idaho (Boise) and never met anyone who raised potatos for a living.![]()
