Yes he did. He would be the 4th lost QB during Gradkowski's time. Council is now at a I-AA school, where somehow he had the grades to play.Flipper wrote:I thought Marques Council flunked out...
Gone are:
Cedric Stevens (went I-AA)
Marcus Faulds (went back to Canada I believe)
Cullen Finnerty (went DII - GVSU)
Marques Council (Flunked out and went I-AA)
Of those four, three left because they weren't going to play and 1 left because he was academically ineligible and decided to go the I-AA route to get his grades up enough to play.

OK how about this for current.factman wrote:I don't call Bo Jackson "current day" athlete and most of the examples cited were of athletes playing a "pro" sport in the off season and not playing baseball and football at the college level at the "same time". I am not saying it can not be done, but it is nearly impossible now and also balance the academic side
Jeff Samardzija excels in the end zone and on the pitcher's mound for Notre Dame. Per Notre Dame newspaper. Evidently got permission from Willingham a couple years ago to play both sports at a high level. I bet there are a lot more as well. Chip Hilton is alive and well!!!!
