And there is no truth to the rumor that we had to make Mr. Hooper the special teams coach to lure Big Bird here.
Now that is and old school sesamee street reference. I don't think he was even alive for today's college freshman and sophmores.

Watching him kick the 45/55/55 yarders were incredible... i had to watch the videos again to make sure that he was making them.. the last 55 yarder could have gone for 65... lets just hope that he can contribute to this team next year... (which I think he will)

...or seniors...

I looooved the video! Was so excited that I tried to show it to my completely uninterested roommate! Almost enough to make me wish I'd be back in BG next year just so I could watch that kid kick every week!

Just remember Flicc...no degree is fully conferred until you pay any remaining Bursar balances which may in extremely rare occurences be caused by bills for room "damages"....or so I am told.

Trying to get these videos to load....but interested in seeing any flags waving in the background. You can make all the long ones you want on a hot still night in Florida, but from 35 out in October at the Doyt could be a different story.

OK, I saw em...sure there nice and long.

The crass pessimistic poster which we usually have more than quota of on this board would say: but the use of video is always selective, alot of the kicks were with the wind, and he used a block which isn't allowed in college.

On the other hand, I say Welcome!

[ And if “Big Bird” turns out to be a good one and kicks a game winning field goal to lead us to a MAC Championship]

Kick a game winning field goal? I'll be thrilled if we have a kicker that can make extra points consistently.

I can just picture it... the crowd applauds and cheers politely for every touchdown, but goes absolutely nuts for the extra points.

(I was going to add, "and the opposing fans look at us like we're crazy"... but it's not as though our kicker troubles were a mystery this year, were they? )

And one of DD's banners... I'd say he might have been snooping.

Interesting line out of his Friday AM blog post:

"Coach Brandon said that I am the Falcon kicker for this fall. We open in Cleveland Browns Stadium against the University of Wisconsin Badgers! That should be a great way to start my NCAA career. GO FALCONS!!"

Love the enthusiasm, that's for sure!!! :D

(it's off a real tiny "view blog" image on the page linked in the first post of this thread. :D )

I wonder if he'll be a better blogger about BG than the coaches have been.... :o

This is the most telling comment, IMO

Coach Brandon said that I am the Falcon kicker for this fall.

I thought Nick Goss would at least have something of an edge having been around for a year.

Alex Rojas video.......

This kid has got a video of him punting, kicking off and practice punts and kickoffs as well. This kid has a mighty strong leg as well. His practice punts were going 65 yards a pop at least.
