What kind of rate did you get at the HI Express? I know Embassy Suites has rooms for $119 with a free cooked to order breakfast 8)

We have 5-6 people going and have a suite. One room with a queen bed and sleeper sofa and a seperate room with queen bed. (6 person max) We are paying $250.00 for 5 people and $260.00 for 6. They charge an extra $10 p/person starting with the 3rd I guess. That is with tax and the extra people. We are just staying Sat. night but I reserved the room in May so I don't know what the deal is now.

$119 is the rate per night at the HI Express on Euclid.

I've got the Friday prior off, so I'm going to leave Columbus early afternoon, get an early dinner in, then go straight on the drink. It doesn't appear that there are any EPL matches that Saturday morning, so I'll be able to sleep in.

There are quite a few tailgating lots that have good parties going on for Browns games, but I'm with you in that I'm not sure how the airshow will effect this.
We'll be tailgating wherever hammb will be. He knows that place big time.

Any idea on best place on park,if NOT tailgating.
Driving in from Maryland and staying in Ashland after the game,so long day of driving, need to save as much aggravation as possible!
Thanks for any help!

Sorry guys... I am a bit late to this thread for some odd reason. This does increase my chances of attendance though, since I would no longer have to fly out late and could drive in on Friday night/Saturday morning. :)

Honestly - if thats the case - park way outside the city at a Rapid station, take the Redline train in, and get a connecting on the Waterfront line. You'll pay $3 for the train ride as opposed to $20 for parking and won't have to sit in traffic. The train takes you right across the street.

My girlfriend lives on W. 6th in the Warehouse District, so it will just be a five minute walk for me. :P Incidently, for those of you not familiar with Cleveland, W. 6th is out of control on weekend nights for those of you wanting to continue to party. Oh yeah, and don't ask about the Flats like every person from out of the city.....they have been dead (at least the east bank...the west bank still has a faint pulse) for five years. :)

It's a shame, too. The Flats "used" to be the place to be...it was great for many years. Now? Nothing. Although there are rumors in Cleveland about plans to try and revive the Flats.

Shooter's deck is still the best place to enjoy a casual outdoor meal, IMO. Also, there's no shortage of shake joints.

Oh, it's been approved by management... AND the guys at work said I can have the time off, too.

Actually, she suggested coming up to BG for a home game with me some time this fall. I guess them diamonds really ARE a powerful thing!! (Although in fairness, it would be her third trip to BG in four years, and to see her tailgate, you'd think she was a Falcon through and through! :-D )
