Dont worry, no offense taken 8) .....

I cant expect people on a message board to believe that I know what Im talkin about lol.......

and although I am also disappointed right now with the play of AT and our team last night, I still know what hes capable of, and I know he will come through....and as disappointing as it may be, he is our guy right now.....so im gonna support him 100%...

And maybe the coaches are playin him before hes 100% because he is still out playing our other options at QB??? I mean, alot of people are knockin Coach Brandon, but dont forget about Coach McCall. He is a great quarterback coach and has coached many good quarterbacks...just give it some time....thats all im tryin to say...

You're probably right. I do have a lot of faith in Coach McCall, which is something I haven't been thinking about in my irrational internal tyraids since last night. I guess my frustration is born of the fact that I can probably count on one hand the number of decent passes that AT made last night. I guess I would feel differently about his recent performances if it was his throwing shoulder that he had injured earlier in the year. The throws he is making right now, it seems to me, are not the result of working through an injury, but rather, piss-poor decision making.

I'll shut up now, though.

Defense was not the reason we lost that game. Yes they gave up the big TD run to start the game. But after that first play, they dominated CMU for most of the next three quarters. Turner threw the int that was returned for a TD and got us in the big hole. And the offense couldn't take advantage of great field position in the third quarter (punting from the CMU 41 and 32 on consecutive series :x ) The two fourth quarter TDs were probably mental mistakes brought on by the loss of condfidence because the offense couldn't get us the lead when they had all kinds of opportunities.
WH,

I totally agree.

I know Brandon keeps saying Turner is not 100%, but Turner is still probably our best chance to win. BUT, as you point out, Turner does not seem to be running hard due to the injury. So that begs this questions: Why the f*ck do we continue to call QB dives when we know he isn't healthy. Bullock had 20 carries and averaged over 5 ypc. Turner had 16 attempts for an average of just over 1. :x

I believe that has to do with the fact that Coach Brandon is not very creative with his playbook.

I knew they are limiting the playbook due to Turner's injury/proclivity to get injured. But my point is, if we are going to run the ball 35 times a game, Bullock should be getting at least 25 carries, Macon and Barnes about 3 or 4 each and Tuner one or two. Not 16.

How are they limiting the playbook to protect a "non-100%" Turner? All I see is him pulling the ball out of Bullock's stomach on a fake and him trying to run between the tackles or gimp-leggin' it outside where a linebacker catches him. How is that "protecting" him?

Maybe Turner will be late for a team meeting and all of our problems will be solved......
