And it would have been a bit rude.
Whatever. Maybe we sneak up on teams this way.
not since they embarrassed us last year.
i wanted to keep shoving it down their throats. i dont care about their losing history, all i remember is last year
I would argue that we embarrassed ourselves last year. If we had a decent team we would've won the game. You cannot fault them for playing the game and coming out on top. To my knowledge I don't recall them doing anything unsportsmanlike to embarrass us.
There is no reason to run up the score. I would've liked to have watched it, I suppose, but there is nothing wrong with getting your backups some PT, and sitting on a lead. I don't much care for them calling timeouts when they're completely out of the game, but it is what it is, they were playing like they had a chance. They didn't, but they played like it.
Exactly hammb. I've heard complaints here about running up the score and that coming back to bite us, now complaints about not running up the score ... I guess you can't just please everybody.

My complaint isn't that we didn't run up the score, entirely. But, the Temple guy came on here basically preaching that 21 points for the spread was a joke, and I just wish we could have held the 21 point lead to show him how wrong he was. Now, I think it was proven by how we played and the fact that we put in the back-ups to allow them to mount a small comeback, but you'll have those people saying, "See, they couldn't beat them by 21."
Another reason I wish we had run up the score on them is because of that timeout crap at the end. There were 15 seconds left and they were down by 3 scores, and yet they call timeout. The crowd (what was left at that point) booed them so bad, and they deserved the boo.
However, what I did like seeing was that we ran out the clock by actually RUNNING the ball. We even got under center and ran the ball. Sheehan was under center for a little bit as well, which I was so glad to see. Perhaps this entier "Omar can't play under center" thing has caused the coach to incorporate a little bit of that into the playbook.

Victory Engineer is a decent fellow (from the MAC board) and probably wouldn't have acted as you indicate he would have.

I agree, he seems like a decent enough person, but mh55 was the one complaining about the spread to start with, stating that we weren't as good as people thought we were.
