Hey , how can you blame him for possibly reconsidering. He lives about 130 miles away. Thats alot of gas to burn to drive up here to watch a miserable product. I don't fault Tech at all. FWIW Tech, the Hockey game could possibly be a better game to come up for than football. You still got time though.

I'm 3 1/2 hours away, and if I wasn't working Fridays now, I'd be there. And vacation plans have already been made to get time off to drive up for the Toledo game.

Anything else?

I live in Columbus and I bought three tickets today for the Western Michigan hockey game. I will be going to the Akron game as well. The season isn't over but adjustments do need to be made. The players and coaching staff need to wake up.

BG is turning into the Detroit Lions of the NFL...that's not good.

I can make my comments on this game very short and simple. The game against Miami today was the WORST prepared and most embarassing game I HAVE ever SEEN a Bowling Green team play in over 45 years of watching Falcon football. If Hollis Moore fired Don Nehlen after a loss, this staff should have been dismissed permantly at HALFTIME!!!

Thats why GB is so lucky to be at a Mac school where we have no money to buy coaches out. So unless the university can find 300k to buy out this and next years contract for GB laying around somewhere its not going to happen, again unfortunately for us.

Not much else to say. There's really no excuse for coming into a game like this so blatantly unprepared. I was really hoping Brandon had turned some sort of corner after some promising efforts earlier in the year, but this was downright embarassing.

I don't understand how a team with this much talent and speed could look so bad.

it's almost like GB has a bcs school's thought process in that whenever we play a bcs team, we need to be on top of everything, and not do the same thing every game, but whenever we play a non-bcs team, we should be able to beat them with one hand tied behind our backs and run three or four different plays the entire game.

Hey , if there's a coach that can make a seemingly talented team look bad its GB. I honestly don't know if there's that much speed on the team. Earlier on in the season I thought so, but I really don't know, especially at receiver. Either our Wr's weren't playin' hard or they are slow. MU seemed to have plenty of speed to go around on all sides of the ball. Besides , I'm not convinced we're one of the more talented teams in the Mac anyway. CMU would take us behind the woodshed if we had to play them this year (I hope we don't).

As I told you in the chat it is not the speed of our WRs that are in question, it's the scheme in which they're asked to run. We have 5 WRs on every play, & the opposition can easily afford to drop 7 or 8 back in coverage, which they do. Then to top it off we don't run any pass routes more than 10-12 yards downfield. So now you've set up a situation where you have 5 receivers within 550 square yards of field. 7-8 guys can EASILY cover that much space.

The only way we move the ball is if teams drop into deep coverage playing to keep things in front of them. Given that we've now proven we won't even attempt to go deep, I see no reason for them to do otherwise.

Now, now Gladys..... settle down. There are plenty of other things that could take us to BG than what is starting to look like a lackluster football team. Nicholas and I still want to go - but think about fans like Mrs. Tech - she was pissed.

Diehards like so many on this site will go to the game regardless...... then show up here to complain.

But gas, hotel, food, tickets, time away from the home/office and numerous other things make it something to consider for alot of our alumni. It would approach an $800 weekend for us. I spent that much going to Boston in May to watch the Red Sox with Sam.

Deciding to abandon the team and not support them because of what happened the last two weeks is worse for the program than anything that occured on the field of play the last two weeks.

This justifiable passion and emotion needs to be channeled into something that will help the program, not harm it.

For those who foolishly believe that staying away will "make a statement," this isn't the NFL. If Christopher was going to fire Brandon based on attendence, it would have happened last year. This team needs and deserves support in whatever way true fans can give it.

It sure does take money. Good thing Mrs. Freak had the free night at the lodge at HW but we still spent about $80 for food and drinks. Throw in $80 for 4 tickets and $$$ for gas to drive 480 miles round trip? It adds up quickly. I will always go to the games but I have to keep her and the Freaklings in mind. They don't have the passion I do for Falcon Football. I expect to be flying solo for EMU and Buffalo.

Yep - sums up how we might look at it. Might just be Nicholas and i - then we can play golf - weatherpermitting - before the hockey game. The other factor is I have season tickets to Miami. Buffalo is in town. So do I go up north spending a few hundred on hotel/food and so on - or take the short drive to Oxford to watch what could be an important game in the overall picture of the MAC.
