Honest question, as I am ignorant of the inner workings of football:

Would we be keeping our offense very simple on purpose so as not to put certain better offensive schemes on film so we can save them for later games with better teams? (at least, during this game?)

I would hope not. The coaches know that if we suffer another loss, we won't be playing in Detroit. They need to do whatever's necessary to win, even if that means pulling out any "special" plays they were hoping to save. Of course, those plays should not be necessary against this team. What we're seeing today is a mental issue with our guys. The offense is not giving the effort they are capable of giving. Line is not firing off and driving into their blocks and the backs are not blasting foward, but instead, dancing around like they're afraid of getting hit.
