I think the only other Big Ten schools Bowling Green has never faced are Iowa, Rutgers, and Nebraska.

How is the team shaping up for next season? I've tried to keep an eye on what is going on with BGSU since you guys are the FBS game on our schedule next season, but haven't watched too close. I know there have been some early departures, transfers and coaching changes and I know you guys had a terrific season last year, but obviously lost some moving parts; so overall what is the forecast?

Hey Siouxfan...glad to see ya here. This is about the best preview I've seen on the 2016 season and I think it's pretty dead on.

All the stats are gloss over info, IMO, but I believe the writer has us pegged well. Could be another BiG year or we could struggle at times. Depends on how quickly the new starters can get going.

BTW, are you guys still using the name "Fighting Sioux"? I always loved that name and know the NCAA came down on your hockey program for using it. Good luck this year.

"Officially" the name is gone, but watching the national championship, and seeing 80% of the NoDak crowd wearing Sioux apparel, students lined up with S I O U X body paint, and hearing the crowd chanting "Sioux forever"... I'd say it's not going anywhere anytime soon.

Unfortunately, we are now technically the Fighting Hawks. Though as someone else mentioned most fans still embrace the Fighting Sioux name as it was chanted very clearly on TV when we won the hockey championship last month.

Thanks for posting the link, I'll give it a read. I'm definitely looking forward to the BGSU game next fall, and best of luck against Ohio State. I'll be on here for some football talk as we get closer to the game next fall.
