Man yet again this team looks to have its manhood challenged and they look like a gelding.

We don't need a defense. The offense is the only defense we need. [Paraphrasing Baber]

Everyone on the planet knows they are going to run it in this situation and we still can't stop it. BAD.

If we still had Babers running his offense there might be some justification in that.

With the offense putting up 25 points? Not so much.

We're witnessing the hangover from that philosophy and culture.

You know it's bad when EMU has worn you down and lines it up and runs right through you.

The good news ... our offense came to life at times today. The bad news .... our defense completely collapsed in the second half after a good first half. Our defense is so, so thin and young.

This feels like 2010 all over again. Have to build, teach, improve each and every year.

We will win some MAC East games. But winning season / MAC East title? It would take a top to bottom turnaround.

I disagree.

I think we're watching a coach that embraces that same philosophy and cannot produce an offense that can score points.

There are plenty of highly successful college programs around the country try that are built around offense over defense. It's the way the sport has headed.

By when you try to play fast, try to quick hit drives, and cannot do so? It looks real ugly.

This team was destined to take a step back after losing so many playmakers from last year's group, but I don't think for a second we'd be this bad if Dino were still here.

Given my opinion on FCS games I'm not sure we win a game all season.

Although emu is improved and no doubt better than several Mac East members.

Between Miami, Kent, and Buffalo we will win some games. Our offense took some good steps today and left some plays on the field - ie throwing deep when a five yarder was there. Offense will improve and will be decent when the season ends. Offense alone will win some MAC games. Defense? Wow ... yeah ...
