vs. Buffalo
Re: vs. Buffalo
Right side of the offensive line got their asses kicked twice on the first drive of the second half, resulting in 2 sacks and a quick three-and-out.

Re: vs. Buffalo
Weak punt and great return gets Buffalo inside the BG 20.
Here comes the avalanche.

Re: vs. Buffalo
Good job by the defense to get a stop after that terrible punt. Definite improvement this week.

Re: vs. Buffalo
How about that? BG forced a turnover on downs. Got lucky with a wide open drop, but it's been a while since we had any luck around here, so I'm not complaining.mbenecke wrote:Weak punt and great return gets Buffalo inside the BG 20.

Falcons take over on downs, with Buffalo still leading 21-3.

Re: vs. Buffalo
Some nice chemistry between McDonald and Morris (which needs to be something I say more often - Morris needs more touches) on that drive gets us across midfield, but we went for it on 4th and 9 and turned it over on downs. Buffalo takes over at their own 45 up 21-3 with 9:43 left in the third quarter.

Re: vs. Buffalo
McDonald is the new Matt Schilz. Makes a couple good plays, then makes a couple plays that make you scratch your head.
Hope there's a QB battle next year in camp.

I'm still holding out hope that McDonald turns into a nice player for us, but I'm also excited about the prospects behind him, too. Melton and Keller both have a lot of potential.jpfalcon09 wrote:McDonald is the new Matt Schilz. Makes a couple good plays, then makes a couple plays that make you scratch your head.

Re: vs. Buffalo
Patterson scampers in from 15 yards out and it's 28-3, Bulls.
We've fought hard, but this is a clear talent and depth mismatch. Gotta keep fighting, though the result isn't in question.

Re: vs. Buffalo
Game stayed competitive longer than I imagined. I guess that's a win?

Re: vs. Buffalo
Another nice drive but it ends with a pick in the end zone. Damn.
It's clear the offense is improving. Now we just need to finish drives - 4 drives inside the Buffalo 30 have resulted in 3 total points tonight.

Re: vs. Buffalo
McDonald doesn’t look like the answer. The supporting cast isn’t doing him a ton of favors, but he’s made a couple really bad throws.
The offensive ineptitude has hurt the defense as well.
Side note, this team is incredibly young. 64 freshman or RS freshmen. Nuts.

Re: vs. Buffalo
End of 3, Buffalo leads 35-3. Not much more to say beyond that.
Through 3 quarters, McDonald is easily having his best game as a Falcon - he's 13/21 for 176 yards through the air.
Andrew Clair is getting nearly 6 yards per carry on 12 totes tonight - I really feel that he needs to be featured more.
