Wild start. 1 yard on first down, sacked for -7 yards on 2nd down, and then Christian Sims takes the screen pass on 3rd and 16, runs a dude over, and then runs it to the house.

The Buffalo player was ejected for targeting upon review.

BG is up 7-0.

It was smart to squib it there, kicking from the 50. The coverage just wasn’t good. We should’ve had them dropped at the 5.

Defense lets Buffalo get to midfield and then tightens up, forcing a punt on their first drive out there.

McDonald has a pass batted at the line, and we punt the ball away.

How many times have I had to type that this year?

McDonald almost scraped his knuckles on the ground on his windup for a screen to a wideout. Shockingly it got tipped and almost intercepted. Embarrassing how bad this program is.

BG defense quickly gets Buffalo off the field again. Some really solid pass defense so far.

Terion Stewart with a nice outside run for about 30 yards gets BG near the red zone.

And… we immediately commit a penalty.

Loeffler pulls a fake FG on 4th and 8, and Naranjo gets it with his legs. Buffalo didn’t see that coming.

BG with 1st and goal.

I’m with you. I just don’t think it was a problem with the play call. It was the execution - and I guess part of that is on the coaches and their level of trust in guys to make that play. But I think we were in a position where it made sense and we should have had them dropped. Just didn’t execute.

Embry runs it to the outside and finds paydirt on 3rd and goal from the 1.

Falcons lead 14-0 with 3:31 to play in the 1st quarter.

END OF ONE: BG leads, 14-0.

Buffalo is in business, though, as they’re across midfield. Their coach is laying into the officials for… something?

BG defense forces Buffalo into a 4th and 1, but they get maybe 1.1 yards on the play and convert.

BG then gets a big sack on the ensuing 3rd down, and Buffalo has to settle for 3.

Falcons lead 14-3 with 11:36 to play in the 2nd quarter.

BG defense picks the ball off and runs it back inside the Buffalo 5.

After 2 plays that don’t get much at all, a nice throwback pass to Christian Sims on a fake jet sweep gets BG in the end zone once again.

Falcons up 21-3 with 7:12 to play in the 2nd quarter.
