PGY Tiercel ---- you doubting Thomas (and fellow biologist). No extrapolations were used (you can't do that). The information provided was based on real research --- testing done right on the track by people who worry about things like this. The information provided in my "treatise" was based on research via the internet which confirmed much of my own "research" done right on the track --- that last of which was completed at Oberlin College right on their indoor track facility last Sat. during a big high school invitational. The fastest time record by a Cleveland East Tech athlete (out of the blocks on top of it) was a 4.7 (hand timed which should really translate therefore into at least a 4.8). The information provided is very accurate, muscle twitch, or no muscle twitch. Testing done last spring on the NFL Spring training grounds produced the following: the average time for the funning backs was 4.62 seconds (electronically timed). The average time for the receivers was 4.52 seconds and the corners averaged 4.57 seconds. Those are the F A C T S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
