Pretty sure of yourself aren't we. Lots of little Mel Juniors out there. Well, if that's the case, I would say he's going to the Bengals for sure. Paul Brown and the Bengals are on record as saying it would be a cold day in hell when he drafts a BG player, as long as the Falcons have the same colors as the Cleveland Browns. Then it was asked how about a cold day this late in April and he said sure but it'll never happen. Now it looks like it's may snow up your way, so I think its a sign that the Bengals will in fact draft Scott. Just my two cents...SuperFan_FutureGrad wrote: He will go to either the Bengals or the Texans.

Randle El should qualify, but he's hardly a stud, either. He's a good PR & Slot WR, but not much more.Jacobs4Heisman wrote:unlimited potential and a dollar can get you a mcdonalds double cheesburger. Name a stud NFL wideout that didn't play wideout in college at all. Antwaan randle el doesn't count.
Probably the best would be Jerry Porter with the Raiders, although he did have like 10 catches in college, he was mostly a CB.
I think Jones is going to go way higher than I'd want to take a guy with little/no WR experience. That said it wouldn't shock me if he turns out to be awesome...or a total bust. If I'm Philly with almost no holes, I take the gamble. If I'm one of the teams at the top of the 2nd who is full of holes I don't think I can afford to take the risk on a guy who hasn't played.
No clue what the Browns will do, but in the end it will be the right thing. Phil is widely believed to be the best talent scout in the NFL. He may have some learning as to how to manipulate the draft (although he should've learned from Ozzie), I can say right now I'm confident he'll take players that turn out quite well.

I know what they WON'T do-pick a QB.hammb wrote:No clue what the Browns will do, but in the end it will be the right thing. Phil is widely believed to be the best talent scout in the NFL. If the 49ers take Rodgers, I could easily see us taking Smith (if he's available). Barring that, I could easiliy seeing them taking a Jason Campbell of Charlie Frye in the top of the 2nd round. If that fails, it wouldn't shock me to see them take a guy like Adrian McPherson or Walter from ASU in the 3rd round.golfertk14 wrote:I know what they WON'T do-pick a QB.hammb wrote:No clue what the Browns will do, but in the end it will be the right thing. Face it, the Browns QB situation is awful. I'd be fairly surprised if they get through this draft without a QB. It may not be in the first, but I expect them to take one at some point.
Sounds like the Redskins are looking to take Campbell late in the first round. I don't think that Frye will last to the third round so if the Browns want him, they would have to take him at the top of the second. If it plays out that the Browns took Edwards in the first, I can't see them picking another offensive player in the second round. Just my opinion, I think Crennell wants some players for the defensive side of the ball.
I am really hoping the 49ers take Rodgers. There seems to be a lot more interest in Smith. So as long as he is on the board, the better the chance of the Browns making a trade to move down. We all know, that is what they really need to do.

Campbell is a big reach for the first round, even late in the first round.Warthog wrote:Sounds like the Redskins are looking to take Campbell late in the first round. First - Cole was fantastic at BG. He will be a player we will all talk about for a long time. We were lucky to have him I think.
As far as when he will go in the draft, I would like to use that receiver from Buffalo several years ago (2000) named Haddad as my mark. I would bet he goes in the same round as Haddad.
Very good white receiver from the MAC. Probably viewed in the same manor.
Does anyone remember Drew Haddad? I think he went 7th round 233rd overall.
That's my guess.

Wouldn't you rather use a good pick on an offensive lineman than pick a QB? Look at the facts, we just signed Dilfer..JH is gonna be a star hopefully for C-Town, and McCown is a good backup when needed. To me that's a good lineup in the QB area. I really don't see them picking a quarterback at all in the draft; the three they already have are good and with a good O-Line, one of them will be even better. Anyone want to take a stab at who the Browns' QB will be?
