The former 4 star recruit was the 12th rated pro style QB in his class and the 13th best player in Ohio in his class.

I dont think you need another QB.

Presumed starter
Presumed solid vet backup
Potential future starters as a Redshirt F and Freshman
Maybe a Drew Gunther type.
Any admins sons play QB?

Four is enough which is where the roster sits, barring any future losses which I wouldn't anticipate. It's nice Connor has two years of eligibility too.

Bazelak
Orth
Bainbridge
Anderson

In a few days we got the most important player back for defense and brought in the most important player for offense. This place blows up when we lose guys....seems pretty lukewarm.

We are improved at QB and RB next year
WR is going to be in the ballpark
Still have a very capable TE
OL lost 2 starters from an already weak but brought in a guy who is going to compete for minutes

DL Losing 2 best players but have what seems like a very good edge in today
LB Got Anders back but losing 2 outside starters
DB We have to replace 2 safeties but Sims has one of those spots.

Majority of the guys leaving the program are going to end up at P5 schools. Realistically there's very little chance for BG to retain those players. I think we all become prisoners to the moment because the guys leaving are known entities to us, we've seen what they can do and it sucks to watch them go. But, this is what college athletics has come to. Hopefully some freshmen arrive with an impact and the transfers in are value added guys to keep pushing this thing forward.

100% agree with this assessment. We have the ability to be really solid next year if we take the next step.

I thought it was worth quoting to give you a hard time though, Globe. I can tell you’re a basketball guy when you say “competing for minutes,” and not snaps. No hate, just found it fun enough to point out. Lol

Still have the same coach and terrible offensive scheme. Like I’ve mentioned before…the only way I see the offense scoring points is if Stewart is elite and they commit to getting him 20-25 touches a game. He is one guy I can see changing this offense from bad to avg.

Wow they must have come to him with a great offer. Hope he kills it there.

Edit: Actually, looks like it’s just an official visit to Arkansas, not a commitment.

I was going to suggest the same.
It’s not my point of view, it’s a fact.

Kudos to Loeffler and crew for landing a kid that has experience at the higher level. I have zero faith in this system but the kid must see something he likes.

He did get benched last year after nine starts...my guess would be that he threw too many INT''s .
(13/12 TD to INT ratio).

Hopefully, a fresh start here will help him...but if we don't fix the line, he may not get the chance.
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
