Just bitter employees of the athletic department that blamed someone else and had to be hired back.
Dakich apparently thinks BG should drop to 1AA

DD has always been a classless, little jerk, void of any coaching skills. It certainly does not surprise me that he would bad mouth BG now. He was on the gravy train for years while producing nothing. It took years for a knowing administration to finally rid campus of him. Unfortunately, those wasted years cannot be regained. We finally have a talented man for a coach rather than a pathetic little crybaby we endured for a decade.
Have you ever even met DD?? He is far from classless my friend ... I am sick of you morons bad-mouthing this guy who was overall, great for university. I agree, towards the end, it was definately time to rid him of his coaching duties. However, to question his character is ridiculous!!!!!!!! Calling him a
crybaby' huh? What the hell do you think you are doing by going on a message board to whine about it ?!?!!? Think before you type my friend, and watch out when throwing those stones inside your lil glass house buddy, you could get cut.

Well, you could be asked the same question. I have met DD, was a student for all but his final 2 seasons, was there for the previous coach and watched that team fall apart when he left for greener pastures only to come crawling back. Believe me, he may not have begged for his job back but it was not given freely either. Most of our coaches were VERY supportive of other sports, athletes, and coaches. But not DD. I have head him badmouth other sports at BG. It does not surprise me one bit that he is spweing such venom toward BG. We are a MUCH better university and athletic program without his "character" and "class." Indiana can have him because he fell off the wagon at BG and cried about it for years before being shown the door.

I always thought DD was a pretty class guy and good to the University/City as well. Still I heard some people tell some stories that made him look like a real prick. With his recent comments it makes me wonder how much of his apparent class was a false front?
I don't know, and I really don't care. I'm ready to move on and let him go on his merry way. Unfortunately it's tough to let go when he still goes on local radio shows and chooses to take that opportunity to criticize his former fanbase.
