First of all I am not a guy, I am a woman with a job in the Toledo media. Second of all, your team's problems go way back to the last time Toledo appeared in the MCB and some of the team's conduct on the field. Second of all, I was appalled last Tuesday night by the lack of respect that a large majority of TU fans had while the National Anthem was being played on the field. From where I sat, this group of people were the only fans that were not respecting our country's anthem and continued to blow horns, yell and bang thundersticks to the point where it was disruptive to those fans that were praticipating in the tradition of the National Anthem. That is my response to being "proud fans" of your football program.

I love how whenever the issue of the law comes into play, the toledo fans always point right at Matt's underage, as if it is even a comperable offense to the attempted homicide that the toledo football team comited on 2 fellow students for trying to keep girls from being molested at a party.
YOU PLAYERS ALMOST KILLED A FELLOW STUDENT! Why is this so hard to comprehend? Had it not been for a quick thinking and well trained classmate, one of those kids would have died on the spot.
The other major difference here is in every case of violation from any BG athlete is that action was taken IMEDIATLY upon learning of said events. They didnt wait around and see if maybe they could get away with it. And the coach of the team wasnt thing only univ. official that was in contact with the authorities. The ut president didnt even know what was going on, and fatstutz had all the info right from teh police chiefs mouth. I'm sorry, but the football coach is not the person that should be the middleman in all of that.

You don't know what you are talking about.
First of all, I am sick of trying to explain how hard it was to hear the band playing the national anthem if you were in the middle of the student's section. Since it is easier for you people to try and find something to take attention away from the fact you lost, I am done trying to use logic and reasoning with you people. Unless you were in the middle of that section, you do not know and are only speculating.
Secondly, you must be some kind of media writer if you use the term, "...majority of fans." There was only part of the student section that did not hear and that was about 3,000 of the 22,000+ people rooting for Toledo. Give us a break and get off your stump.
In reference to the fight at an off-campus apartment at the beginning of the year:
A. Attempted murder? Please. It was a fight. You must be some kind of drama queen. Not condoning the fight but it was not attempted murder. Guess what happens in a fight...people get hurt. Dumbass. In addition, the sh*thead from BG that THREATENED TO SHOOT A COP, was a pretty easy and quick situation to take care of. In regards to the fight at the party, it took over a week to get all the facts straight and the Frat Boys were also at fault. Once it was all sorted out, since it was not as cut and dry as the threateneing of a cop, it was swift punishment.

So can you tell me how many games Mr. Suisham sat out for his crime?http://www.bgnews.com/vnews/display.v/A ... _archive=1BGSUfanatUT wrote:The other major difference here is in every case of violation from any BG athlete is that action was taken IMEDIATLY upon learning of said events.
At one point the victim who recieved 42 STITCHES was leaning halfway out the 7th story window.
I wonder if Suisham would have broke Kris Brown's PAT record against Toledo if he would have been forced to sit out at least ONE game?

The "large majority" of the TU "student section" in front of us were not participating in the National Anthem. When the band is on the field and the flag is being raised you be quiet and recognize the National Anthem. If the students weren't making so much noise, they could have heard it! Nobody in the other sections seem to have a problem, it's done before EVERY American sporting event! I have attended hundreds of football games, home and away, and alot of these games have been very noisy, never seen such disrespect - this is the final word on this subject!

And in a fight, you dont tear artery's or throw people threw 2nd florr windows unless you are trying to reall mess them up. You cant call for a turnicate by punching someone there chief. And as for gettign the fact straight, Im pretty sure they still havent considering that only 2 players have had any type of repercussions.

And, if you had been reading (if you can actually read), the UT (it has not been TU in a long, long time Ms. Media Professional) band was on the field long before the Anthem was played. The band was faced AWAY from the student section. The flag was not, "...raised," so this is a moot point. While the band was playing other songs, the cheerleaders were leading the student section that had the thunder sticks (the other parts of the student section did not have the thunder sticks) through different chants. As the band began to play, you could not hear it within that student section because they had been banging those sticks long before the anthem.
Maybe they should have sat down the entire pregame show with their hands on their a$$. Give me a break. Give us all a break. This is a very, very weak arguement. My guess is that you are over the age of 60 (that is the average age of people who still call it TU) and, if you do have anything to do with a real media outlet in Toledo, you are likely retired and just looking for something to bitch about.
That is the last word, Grandma.

I call it TU because it upsets you all so much. Look at you arguing about it now before you respond saying you don't. By the way, I'm only 21...definitely not 60!Casualobserver wrote:My guess is that you are over the age of 60 (that is the average age of people who still call it TU)
