Game Thread: at Tulsa (9/11)

Tonight was the first Falcons action I've seen this year. Some good, some bad. Overall impression is that we just weren't good enough on the offensive line (especially after Bojicic went down), didn't tackle well enough and DB's werent tight enough in coverage due to Tulsa's speed. I really like what I saw out of Jorden and Schilz will be really good throughout his career. I couldn't tell what happened on that last pick, but it looked like he had a guy wide open. Overall, I think QB play is way down there on the list of concerns. Hopefully we can get some help for Jorden in the pass game and some holes for Willie to run through.

On the bright side, this year's version of the MAC may be the weakest ever. In general, it is a collection of really bad football teams. I definitely think we're better than most of the MAC and we can certainly compete each week starting in October. Hopefully we can get some good vibes going next week at home and keep Denard Robinson under 500 yards of total offense in 2 weeks.

It was very tough to have those two TDs wiped out by penalties today. Any loss hurts no doubt, but this one doesn't sting to me as much as the Troy one did. We certainly had our chances in that one last week and the last few possessions hurt us badly in that one. That said, the silver lining in both were they were not MAC games.

This was just an interesting stat: this is the first time since the 2000 season we've started 0-2.
