I'm proud of these guys but damn does this one sting.
How about not going for 2??? I can't stand that SH*T!
Agreed on playing our asses off. They should be proud
Ryan Burbrink can't be faulted / it happens. Looked to be as if he picked the ball up late. Great throw by Johnson. Overall it was Falcon football we should be proud of. Coach had them ready.
Overall it was a good effort. SEC team, on the road. And tomorrow, I'll feel a lot better about it. But right now, it stings. That 3rd and 10 call will sting for a while. Burbrink shouldn't have even been in that position.
That being said, can we pay Clawson this offseason? I don't want to lose him.

DING DING DING DING!!! You win the prize my friend. Exactly right. But everyone wants to sit here and "baby" this team and say how proud we are of them. Give me a break. They choked!! This is a game they should have won. They choked! Playcalling down the stretch was god awful. Nobody could make a play. We are a good MAC team who obviously can't win the games against the big boys like we could before, and that my friends is Dave Clawsn. Good MAC coach but can't win the bigger game. Never could with us. But if your content with competing in the MAC and losing to inferior teams in the out of conference schedule every year, then this is your team. Another opportunity WASTED under Dave Clawsons watch!

FALCON FOOTBALL ROCKS!
I looked at this game as clawson's big chance to get a low tier bcs/big pay job and he decided to kick an extra point and run a draw on 3rd and 10. Brutal.
I feel terrible for burbrink that the ball went through his hands on 4th down. He will make big plays down the stretch that help us get a shot at a MAC title.
The Hopgood run.........MSU was pinning their ears back and blitzing on every down, the call was not bad, it just did not work because the defense stunted right into the ball carrier...ironically the defender in his face was named Chris Jones. He forced Hopgood to stop in his tracks and try to reverse but couldn't. I understand the call but I would have used roll outs with Johnson on the last several downs. They hadn't stopped that all night long.
Hopgood is not the 3rd string RB by the way, he is our 3rd down back, better blocker, better receiver and still a good rushing RB. IMO, he needs more playing time not less, especailly in the red zone. When healthy, Hopgood is our most complete back. And no, I'm not suggesting he should start over Greene.
We played a very good game but lost in a very difficult environment. This game partially restored my confidence in them (after the Indiana debacle) and I think 10-2 is not unrealistic.

I like Moral Victories and this is a great one. I just hope we play Toledo close next week and a horrible play call on 3rd down, dropped pass, horrible no go for 2 call, keeps us from winning. I will be just as happy as I am now because for me it's about sportsmanship and just going out and trying hard.

WTF? So if we finish 10-2, 8-0 MAC and play for the title, you're pissed?

Disagree. Hopgood is a good blocker but he is slower than both Greene and Givens and should have never been asked to run the ball there.
