Toledo barely takes out UMass at home...their defense looks worse than ours right now.

Toledo looks pretty beatable tonight in DeKalb. Also, their helmets have a silhouette of Ohio on them, which is kind of odd.

They want the bus driver to be able to tell what state he should drive to..

I hate to say it but I like the State of Ohio on their helmets...anything to remind people there are SEVEN other 1-A schools in Ohio.

Toledo is in this game with their 4th string QB, wonder where they would be with Woodside or even Ely healthy.

Welp, if NIU beats Ohio on Tuesday then BG will not only be playing to end the four game losing streak but also to end Toledo's season.

And I recall Macon from HS yrs, all-ohio QB , dangerous runner and these Qb's are especially dangerous in this kind of game.

Agree Den. I will say this Macon dude is quite an athlete. Is he any relation to Dan Macon?Class of 61 wrote:Despite the score, I think NIU has made some DUMB decisions tonite, allowing TU to get back in the game not once, but several times.

The West is a wild race.
NIU controls it's own destiny, but, has the toughest schedule left. @ Ohio , @ WMU
Toledo needs to win out and have OU or WMU beat NIU.
WMU still has EMU (win) a rivalry game @ CMU and NIU at home.
Any of those would be a fun match up in Detroit. I would think attendance would be close to 30,000 for, BG vs WMU or BG vs UT.
I think the more surprising game last night was Buffalo taking Akron behind the woodshed. The Zips are in danger of not being bowl eligible after starting 4-2. Ouch.

I would love to play WMU again in Detroit...if we get there...

Many of the recent MAC champions on both sides have had their head coaches leave after they win. Not sure what candidates for moving up to the paying players conferences are out there but it will be interesting to see.

Re: Toledo is going to embarrass us.
The fact that the Chippewas are still in the race may save Toledo's bacon. CMU has a head to head win over NIU, so any 3-way tie scenario involving UT, NIU, and CMU could see UT moving forward as (I assume because they played us and the other two teams didn't) they likely have the best cross-division SOS. This of course assumes that Toledo loses to BG, NIU loses to WMU, and CMU beats WMU to set up that scenario. Actually, there's a possibility that all 4 teams could finish 6-2...which would be beyond ridiculous.Falcon137 wrote:The West is a wild race.

As for Akron, well...there's always next year. But I am surprised that Buffalo hasn't completely folded up the tents after losing to EMU and firing their HC. That was a strong performance.
