Great stat from NBC:

22 commits in our class next year, and 21 are team captains in high school right now.

Loeffler clearly values leadership, and I think that's really important.

FINAL:

Notre Dame 52, Bowling Green $1.1M

But for real, we'll get back to work and just keep trying to get better. Maybe we catch a little bit of lightning in a bottle next weekend against Toledo. I think Loy should start, and I hope we choose to use a heavy dose of Clair - he is far and away our best player. Looking forward to the "LT" helmets on Saturday!

BK called off the dogs...lucky because BG couldn’t stop anything in the air. Could’ve been much much much worse.

I don't expect this team to win another game the way out, you just hope with getting new players in the next couple years that this disease gets expelled from the program. Definitely the worst season of Bowling Green football in program history.

Ditto. We have such a poor talent pool right now.

Tough day to be a Falcon fan, but I was encouraged by the way the offense seemed to accomplish more with Loy under center. We saw much the same difference last week at Kent. Surely, Loy is our starter going forward.

Haha

I have a total new respect for Notre Dame University and understand the love for the place.

Beautiful campus, buildings, landscaping, and layout. Lot’s or things to see and do before and after the game. HUGE support, tailgating everywhere, great band, fans (no bad words), friendly and open.
Half time show with the band Chicago! Video and sound system - WOW! The tradition just envelops the place. Glad we scheduled them and I got to go. :supz: (BG could learn some things from them)

Go Falcons.
Show our Spirit,
Make them Fear it,

The team stayed in Kalamazoo the night before? Fans could get hotels where they wanted to, but the team couldn’t? What kind of disorganized operation is this? Just drive over the morning of and save the money if you can’t figure out basic lodging.

Yep. Straight from the mouths of the bus drivers. Money decision from what they said. Rooms go for $300-400 for a Friday night before a home game.

Did they call to make reservations after the game at Kent? BG only had 3 years since the game was announced to make reservations, and 1.1 million to pay for rooms.

Mid-major football is like the old days of minor league baseball. South Bend is not a large metro area like Columbus. It actually makes sense.

Fun weekend in South Bend except score of game. Went over Friday afternoon so had time to tour campus.

Heard about team staying in Kalamazoo and was very surprised. Sure, staying in South Bend expensive but what about other towns closer? Elkhart etc.

Team was 30 minutes late arriving to stadium on Saturday as well.

All head scratching head issues by BG Admins.

FWIW, we had reservations in Elkhart before we found out about the available Aloft hotel in S Bend, ( which we thought was the team hotel as well). At any rate, the La Quinta in Elkhart was extremely expensive as well. Glad we made the change to a much nicer venue, but ND football causes rates to go up for 20+ miles around.
That being said, this still seems odd to say the least.

Upon looking through some S Bend info, I found a consistent reference to the area as “Michiana”. So the area sees itself as a joining of the 2 states. Anyone see what the distance is between K Zoo and S Bend? I checked and it’s 85 miles! Wow!

The stay in Kalamazoo was planned months ago. It was purposeful, not disorganized.
It’s not my point of view, it’s a fact.
