I was fairly impressed with attendance on Saturday. It really did fill up pretty well. I hope we see some more big crowds as the rest of the season winds down.

I've been sitting up at the top on the East side, so I (unfortunately) have no impact on the student sound. However, I definitely agree with your "entire" crowd assessment. It wasn't until the final play of the game that many BG fans sitting in my section actually stood and made noise. As we saw with the band forcing that first UT fumble, crowd noise abslutely can be a factor. And it was clear our players were feeding off that energy from the crowd.

I'm looking forward to getting back in the Doyt, and I hope everyone who will be there is willing to get a little rowdy, too!

Quick couple of non-actual game related notes that I hadn't gotten a chance to comment on.

1) I wasn't able to get there so I watched on CBS Sports with Ross Tucker on color commentary, and I gotta say, those guys really did their homework. They knew a lot of background info about several of the players and had a ton of insight on the rivalry. It was a refreshing change from the ESPN3 guys who usually call it.
2) Anyone else notice how natural and relaxed Grant Loy was in his interviews? You'd think he was a star QB who had to do interviews all of the time. He really seemed like a natural. Could be a future in TV or radio commentary for him.

Attended more games than any responsible student should have.

Gibby is funny, man. Describes Grant Loy as a future Chippendale. "He's a block of granite." Ha.

Kinda brings a tear to your eye.

Bowling Green is a special place, man. As my senior year moves along, I'm continually reminded of just how wonderful a community I've been blessed to grow up around. When you're a Falcon, you're a Falcon for life.

Karl, if you’re reading this sorry I missed you ( and the “ mid”). It’s been too long between visits. Unfortunately, we got there only about 1.5 hrs before kickoff and left fairly soon after game was over. Two good friends came with me but wanted to head back home.

Beating Toledo will easily be the highlight of the season. And let’s face it, there isn’t much competition as far as highlights of the season are concerned. While I’m still enjoying the win a week later despite the loss today, winning a MAC championship to me was way, way more meaningful and important. I’ll take a MAC Championship coupled with a regular season loss to Toledo any day over a win over Toledo and no MAC Championship. Yes, winning a MAC Championship and beating Toledo would be better, and winning a MAC Championship by beating Toledo in the the MACC game would be the best. But any season that ends without winning a MAC Championship title feels empty, with or without a win over Toledo. I could give two $hits about Toledo. Rival or no rival, winning a conference title trumps any regular season conference win in the end.
