I think way too many of us are totally dismissing any game that does not involve Wisky, Boise, Miami, or UT. Everyone talks like all of these other games are won before the season is even played. I'm not shy on saying I want this team to go undefeated, but it happens one game at a time and you cannot assume victories, especially when the season does not even begin for 2 months. I will worry about Miami when the time comes, for now I am concerned with just Wisconsin.Rightupinthere wrote:BGSU33 wrote:Very well put, 33. It seems as though some of the younger fans are a tad too confident in regards to the up and coming season.
I have reserved optimism. I believe we will lose to either UT or Miami. I would prefer losing to UT in the Doyt, frankly.
It's another season, another year to EARN the respect again!

First of all, I must appologize for the "lazy people on workers comp" statement. My only excuse is that I'm stressed with my move and got a bit jacked in the discussion at hand. I don't really believe that all people on WC are lazy, of course. While I do have my problems with the system, it did have a noble and worthwhile begining (as evinced by Flip's experience).Flipper wrote:
Having been through the WC mill here in Ohio back in younger days (slip and fall at a Red Lobster shattered my left elbow...if you kids are nice I'll show you the surgical scars) I can attest to the fact that dealing with that agency isa job unto itself.
Secondly, I feel that I am the one responsible for turning this thread into a BG/Miami(OH) pissing match. For that I appologize, as well. Deep down, I suppose I just despise Miami and their constant b**ching.
Anyhow, back to the topic at hand, I agree with everyone esle that this debate alone means that it could be a magical season based on this thread. Let Miami(OH) think that they are better than us. In fact, I would like our team to think that there is a chance that they are better than us. That will only make them play with more passion. I think that (outside of the tragic circumstances of the NIU game last year) that in many of our big road games we have gone in thinking that we were better than the competition when in reality we were much more evenly matched.
Bring it Skinhawks.
