But how much of this $15.00 will go to the football team?

None I assume...and it shouldn't. It raises money for the Athletic Marketing Dept. Which since you slam it so frequently, you should be glad they are attempting to increase their funds so they can in turn market more. I know for a fact the budger the last few years has been tight but they can't let it stay that way.

its not the money as much as it is the principal. Why should you have to join a "group" to enjoy your home football games. I thought we were already a "group" known as BG students, alumni and fans who support the team...those who want to go are going to go anyways...the "flock" is only going to attract members who already are going to the games. it certainly isnt going to make more people want to go to the games if they have to pay. i know its only 15 bucks but why pay it if you would only go to one game...and why pay it if you would be at the games anyways?

No one said that you had to pay to join this club.

Not to worry. Unless you're a Falcon Club member, you can't sit in the back corner of the end zone.

$15 is what I am being told that it is...I can't join it anyways I am Alumni not a student but it is still going to backfire thats my argument. I personally dont care about the$15 some will. if you read my post before..it's not going to help things..it will make them worse if anything when people come to the game for the first time and they are told to play musical chairs when the "flock" arrives because they are in the Flock section..it will lead to more bad impressions than it will lead to more people comming to the games. thats what I am saying

If you want people to come to the games then market to the people who wouldnt already be going. Anyone who joins the flock would already be going there anyways and they are just going to pay to ensure they get their first 5 or 6 rows of seating on the 50 yard line. thats all it is going to accomplish. there will not be any new people comming to the games because of the flock. only new attendees will be freshman and their parents occasionally.

This Flock idea...........

Post by Falconboy »

Sounds just like another way to make up some money for this Sebo Center. I've always like being able to jump into the student section where its gets roudy. This could very easily back fire. What if very few students where to come and we'd have all this empty pockets of space in that section because you didn't have a T-shirt to sit that there. Its just sounds stupied to me. Let it be first to get there are the first to sit there. Sounds also like a ploy to bail out lazy students who don't like getting out of bed who are watching Ohio St until 3:00pm.

Yes, falconboy. That is exactly it. All money the MARKETING DEPARTMENT makes goes to the Sebo. Do you have any idea what you are talking about with anything anymore?

Didn't say its was bad the are trying to get money for the Sebo , I'm saying its kinda telling that the're resorting to this to come up with enough money for the Sebo.

I think his point is that the money is headed to the Athletic Marketing Department, not the Sebo Center.

OK OK OK you're against the idea. I'm not.

All of you - Quit bitching about the Athletic Department not doing anything then bitching when they do something.

If you think you've got a better idea, then send your resume to Paul Krebs and he can hire you if he wants to.
