I talked to one of the players after the game. He told me Omar separated his shoulder, and that he would be back, maybe not next week, but that he was "okay" and would play if not against Akron or Kent, in time for the Miami game. He said they sat him out for precautionary reasons. Now this player is certainly not a doctor, and maybe this is what the team is supposed to be saying as instructed by Coach Brandon, who knows? But that is what I was told, so we’ll see what happens from here.

Or was it a random fan who saw the sling and said, "Man, I bet he's got a broken collarbone," to which his buddy replied, "Whoa, if he does, he's out for the rest of the season," and the guy two rows behind asked his neighbor across the aisle, "Did you hear that? They said Omar's out for the season with a broken collarbone!"
I heard it down on the field after halftime before he was even seen out there with the sling. I won't say from who I heard it from but I was just stating what I heard.

Don't anyone come back and say don't post something like this without facts because everyone else does it, too. Right now, no one really has any fact to it until he has a medical review.
Didn't mean to say things like this shouldn't be posted. Was just pointing out what everyone knows anyway-- most of us have no idea whether or not rumors in the stands are from a credible source. No offense intended.

Turner was ready. Was he as good as Omar? No, he missed a few throws, and had a few others dropped -- in part because receivers may not have been used to the zip Turner puts on the ball.

Losing Omar was a small factor, but there were so many others...

I used to enjoy coming here to get some information on events and get to know some new falcon fans that i wouldn't have met otherwise. But this is uncalled for. You guys want to talk about how bad the team played fine, you want to talk about the future of falcon football fine, but DO NOT attack each other or you will end up just like the team broken and beaten. Pull together, the season is not over. I’m done with this site, and that is way to bad cause it used to be awesome. Ryan is 100% right! Grant has said how important this site is to him, and this is the way you guys act, i might be more ashamed of you guys than the team! IT'S A GAME AND A LOSS GET OVER IT there is no excuse for acting like this! This will be my last post on the football forum, I bid you all goodbye and good luck.

A fair weather fan?
To clarify -

Some seem to think that I was calling jeremy (or, I guess, anyone who leaves games early) a "fair weather fan". But, as you can see, I didn't call anyone anything. I did ask a question, which was a joke, playing on the term "fair weather" since jeremy said he left in part due to "cold and windy" weather.

And I thought it was funny and well played. Some around here need to just chill out and not take everything so damn personally.

After yesterday people are going to be frustrated and say some stupid things. I'd rather see our fans suck it up and deal with it as opposed to crying and running home to play by yourself. But hey, to each his own.

I'm with J4H here. All of this bitching and whining about fans attacking each other, quite frankly, makes you all look quite silly. All of this crap started when I gave our friend a hard time about leaving the game early. BIG FRIGGIN' DEAL!!!!!! I'm always going to give people a hard time about leaving a game early because far too many people do it, and no one ever seems to care enough to do anything about it. It has nothing to do with a loss or losing. Everything about Bowling Green football smacks of the big time except our fans, and I happen to find that unacceptable. You should too. That isn't calling people bad fans, that is just calling them misguided. But, go ahead and make out of that statement what you will. People are really good at that around here.

Listen, at least momartin had the balls to call me out. He was wrong, but at least he had the balls. As for the rest of you that have created a couple of five-page threads about this, get over yourselves. You are all complaining about fans attacking each other after a loss, but what do think you all are doing?

If we can't discuss things like fans leaving early around here, what the heck is the point?

I don't care where you live at, you can discuss fans leaving early when you come to a game yourself.

actually, could you just delete all threads, on all forums and we'll start this website over?
i am sure grant did not have this is mind when he was creating a website for falcon fans. It went from huge fans to critics in a matter of 2 years.
