What is wrong with you guys. I have been going to games since 79 and certainly bleed orange but get real. AT has been out there injured most of the last three weeks. He played well - very well against OSU, was OK against a decent Eastern team. They have had close games and will probably be pretty good next year. AT had a bad game this week. That is it. He is young and it is way too early to throw in the towell. If I looked at OMar at BOise I'd have put him on the practice squad. Give the kid a chance- it is too early. Look at the TEAM. We are talented but youthfull. Anyone who realistically thought we would win the MAC has a scew loose. Contend maybe- realistically win it- No. As far as recruiting goes we could have done better. We did great this year. I see us moving in the right direction from all I see.

I don't see how anybody could think that all is well at BGSU right now. Even if we might contend, might do better, etc, I see nothing carved in stone. I see warning signs.

But we are so young because we got almost nothing out of two recruiting classes in a row. If we had done a better job with what is now our Sr. and Jr. classes, we certainly would not be in this position.
And who are you calling clowns? Some people on here have been going to BG football games for quite some time. Excuse me for being passionate about the program.

I wish they could have a JV football team. Indeed, college basketball used to be able to do that. Not sure you could pull it off these days, NBA and all. But still, I think the idea isn't a bad one.

The ACC, I believe, still has JV basketball teams. Everyonce in a while Duke or UNC has a player who earns his way up to the varsity team.

Are you serious? With as many freshman and sophmores we have starting on this team we are still a .500 type team. There is also a chance that you see this team in a bowl game THIS year. Granted, if they play like they did last week the odds are slim....but to say you dont think that this team will improve is ludicrous if you ask me....

The overall quality of product on the field has done nothing but decline since the beginning of 2004. The youth excuse isn't the cure-all for me. Last year we had an extremely talented and veteran team. We were mediocre against one of the worst schedules in the country.

If you ask me, expecting things to turn around all of a sudden with no change in leadership is what's ludicrous.

With the foundation that was in place in 03-04, it's ridiculous that we are not absolutely dominating a conference that has been pretty terrible overall in that time frame.

The Kent coach stated in the rag today that a big reason they are winning is because the 15 freshmen that played last year are not making the same mistakes. Say what you want but the reality is that is our place right now. AT is no Omar - but not many are. Reason has left this board and whinning has taken over.

UK has a JV football team as well. They beat Hargrave Military academy 49-14 this weekend. The most exciting football game in Commonwealth stadium all year. It appears to be made up of redshirt freshman and probably walk-on/practice squad guys.

We're seeing the effects of the same problem UT is facing (to a thankfully MUCH larger degree). We had a class or two full of guys that were boderline academically who didn't stick. As a result, we're forced to play a bunch of "kids".

I think we'll be fine and I don't see an analogy to be made between Gary Blackney and Gregg Brandon. I don't think Brandon is assuming that he/we rule the conference because we went to a bowl game his first two years on the job.

I also don't think Urban Meyer "built" anything here. He got the program off of life support, but nobody builds a program in two years....

I'm honestly getting a bit tired of the skitzo nature of this forum. when we win the future is bright, when we lose we're doomed....doooooooommmmmmed.

Frankly, I'm bored as hell and looking for some new kids to play with

Carolina still does. When I worked at Methodist, we had two JV squads that used to play their JV in basketball and football.
