My biggest knock on GB is something that no one else talks about! And that would be his ability to overcome adversity. Both him and our players seem shell shocked everytime we have a ST's blunder, a turnover, an injury, or a bad call by an official. All of these things happen, and no team is exempt from all of these things. However, we never respond in the right way after these things happen to us, and it takes the wind right out of our sails! Bottom line is that we almost never respond to a bad situation with a positive play! (How many times does Tiger Woods shank his drive 75 yards right of the fairway and still make par?) It always takes us awhile, if not the whole game to catch our breaths, regroup and try to get the momentum back. I believe that momentum is thee biggest factor in a college football game and despite doing a great job in Time of Possesion, we lose the "Time of Momentum" in almost every game, which leads to big plays and unecessary losses.
As for firing GB, I think it would be a bad move at this point in time. Although I do understand everyones anger and why these conversations are coming up. But he has done some positive things this year, re-tooling the offense, winning time of possesion, keeping it close with dominant Wisconsin and OSU, beating Ohio handley. We still have a chance to go 7-5, and even an outside chance to make it to the MACC and a bowl game. This is why I don't feel it necessary to talk about firing GB or asking him to resign, because I feel the verdict is still out. Don't get me wrong if we lose out and finish 4-8, I might be joining the fire GB now club that has started on this site, but for now I think we need to RESPOND to what happend yesterday and see if we can't salvage this season!
Please Gregg, do the right thing,
