That's the plan!Flipper wrote:Wow..you'll get to see the Tigers clinch the Central Division
I'm really hoping the Browns play a home game on 9/21 and we can make a weekend trip of it.
That would be a change then, because it was previously listed by both BG and Boise as being on 10/4.BGSUfalcons wrote:According to the Boise State website, the game with them is on 9/13. Unless something changes, BG would have back-to-back games at Boise State and at Wyoming.
That would be a truly brutal stretch.Warthog wrote:That would be a change then, because it was previously listed by both BG and Boise as being on 10/4.BGSUfalcons wrote:According to the Boise State website, the game with them is on 9/13. Guess this goes to Transfer's notion that Homecoming will be on 10/4. I see where you are coming from now.
So ...Warthog wrote:My updated "guess schedule" now moves Boise St up to 9/13 where I had an off day. 9/27 will be an off day and 10/4 will be homecoming vs Buffalo. Rest stays the same.

You aren't kidding 87! I hope to see something different otherwise the Freak won't be at a BG game for 4 weeks after MN. How the hell am I supposed to survive that??????????1987alum wrote:So ...Warthog wrote:My updated "guess schedule" now moves Boise St up to 9/13 where I had an off day. 9/27 will be an off day and 10/4 will be homecoming vs Buffalo. 8/30 @ Pitt
9/6 MINNESOTA (Varsity BG Day/Only September Home Game Day)
9/13 @ Boise St
9/20 @ Wyoming
9/27 off
10/4 BUFFALO (Homecoming)
10/11 @ Temple
10/18 KENT (Family Day)
10/25 @ Ohio
11/1 MIAMI
11/8 @ Akron
11/15 NIU
11/25 @ Toledo
That's one of the toughest openings we could have expected - three road trips, two back-to-back to Mountain time. Of course, only 1 home game in September. Phew.

BUT, it's a home game against a Big 10 team. In years past we've argued endlessly about not being able to get the big guys to the Doyt. Granted, it's not a Michigan or Ohio State, but it's still a Big 10 team, and not some garbage I-AA game.1987alum wrote: That's one of the toughest openings we could have expected - three road trips, two back-to-back to Mountain time. You can "survive" very simply my friend - "ROADIE"!!!!!Falconfreak90 wrote:You aren't kidding 87! I hope to see something different otherwise the Freak won't be at a BG game for 4 weeks after MN. No complaints about Minny at the Doyt, just saying that it's a tough start - 3 of 4 on the road, including back-to-back trips out West. I'm glad to see a higher-profile OOC home game, don't get me wrong. I just like to see the AZZ tailgate crew get as many chances at good weather as possible!bgmaggot00 wrote:BUT, it's a home game against a Big 10 team. I'm sure its a broken record by now, but I'll say it again, that Boise game sucks. It'd be great to have a home game there instead and have 2 games at the Doyt in September with only 1 trip west. F going to Boise twice and them not coming here!1987alum wrote:No complaints about Minny at the Doyt, just saying that it's a tough start - 3 of 4 on the road, including back-to-back trips out West. Wait, we can't go to NIU this year, that's impossible. They have to come to us. Unless Toledo plays down at the Doyt again in 2008Warthog wrote:More schedule fodder: Northern Ill's supposed schedule is posted on the MAC boards as well. It is not complete, but does say something like "Insert Toledo, Bowling Green and xxx as home dates in October."
Their schedule in Nov also shows every game on a weeknight.![]()
Finally, after cross-checking the Ball State schedule, they have dates with Akron and Kent listed where those two schools had OOC planned. Kent's isn't that big of a deal as it was UL-Lafayette. They can/have moved that or find someone else.
The Akron one is more interesting. They already had five OOC games scheduled so on the face of it, this seems logical. But remember, some East div teams have to play 5 OOC games and only 7 MAC games. But the real interesting part is that the game is supposed to be Kentucky. If you recall, the MAC has screwed Kentucky already this year with Temple backing out of a game and then begging Miami to jump into a slot with Kentucky. But Miami only wants to play the game at Paul Brown Stadium instead of in Lexington since they would be focred to drop a home game with WKU.
It may be months before we actually announce a schedule. And as has been noted already, the Boise St game has been moved and I wouldn't be surprised to see more changes. I'm not holding my breath that the fu**ing MAC office doesn't make us drop the Boise St game on 9/13 to play Kentucky, as that just so happens to be the date of that schedule clusterfuck.
No doubt, WH, I can see this dragging on as usual.Warthog wrote:It may be months before we actually announce a schedule.
