Thanks. I noticed this site a few days ago and decided to join as I am a big fan of Bowling Green sports. I was shocked by all the negativity going around here leading up to the Miami game, so I figured would say something about that. Trust me, if Omar wasnt playing tonight, I would not be optimistic about our chances either.Jacobs4Heisman wrote:good post -- welcome to the site.bgsufalcon24 wrote:Look guys, we are all forgetting one huge thing. This is a different team with Omar Jacobs in the lineup. We beat the first 3 conference teams we played, two of them by double digit margins and were rolling with #4 doing his thing. And we would have beaten Western Michigan too if not for the injury because we were already up 7-0 and driving for more. It was after that injury play that you could just see the turn in momentum. The defense went from getting penetration up front to getting pushed around, and the O-Line went from strong blocking to bad. The recievers started dropping passes. If that injury to Jacobs doesn't happen, we probably kick WMU's butt and beat Akron the next week too, since AT's mistakes in the red zone (a fumble and a pick) cost us that game.
With Omar back in the lineup, the Falcons are a much better team. Omar is going to be playing tonight, so I issue my prediction.

Ha Ha! You guys thought I was serious about this prediction, didn't you? Boy, I sure can be a joker. I had you guys going though.Touchdown Rockets wrote:I think that the game against UT will be much closer for BG than this game against Miami. My pick:
falcons - 14
Skinhawks - 42
UT is listed in the 2004 edition of The Unofficial, Unbiased Guide to the 328 Most Interesting Colleges by Trent Anderson and Seppy Basili as one of the U.S. schools with the “Most Beautiful Urban Campus.”

Man, I said it would be 42-24. It turns out that I didnt give our defense enough credit. This game was even better than I thought it was going to be. So much for that so-called Miami Whammy. (I wasnt sure I knew what that was because I just arrived in BG a few months ago and aren't as familiar about the teams history)bgsufalcon24 wrote:Thanks.
