Not of much importance but it appears June Jones will be heading back to coach Hawaii.

Babers is one of four finalists for the UCF job and Iowa State's AD has flown to Detroit to interview with Babers, Campbell and Fleck.

Iowa State is a bad job. It is a coaching graveyard. UCF has a lot going for it but has missed out in conference expansion and if and when the Big 12 expands I don't think UCF will get the call. I think Babers could do better, this year or hopefully next year and beyond.

UCF to the B1G would be the ultimate mind f##k for the SEC. They have a huge student population, a 45,000 seat stadium with room to grow and they're in Orlando. How they aren't in a P5 conference already is beyond me. I would be all over that job if I'm Babers

Central Florida went 0-12 this season. Yes, there is lots of potential there, but it is also a risky opportunity.

0-12 is the ultimate nowhere to go but up scenario. It makes the job more attractive than a traditional 3-9, 4-8 ham and egger kind of job. :)

I am more curious about potential coaching candidates for us.

If Durkin doesn't get a bigger job he is priority 1
If Kendal Briles doesn't get a bigger job he is probably #2.

Unlike the schools we are talking about, we have a head coach.

He's almost certainly gone. You can talk about it.

I like Babers. I want him to be here. We are not looking for a coach. If that changes we can revisit.

Bill Cubit was given an extension today so Illinois has filled their vacancy.

You can revisit it then if you want. Those of us who want to talk about it now can.
