I don't think he's soft. He got hurt all the time because urban gets his QBs destroyed and doesn't care.
I still wouldn't draft him anywhere near where he will go in the draft. He's barely played the position.
As for Lewis nothing about him really screams toughness either. Never showed the ability to go over the middle. Willing blocker I guess, but nothing special.
Not that it's really something necessary to play the position.

Tweeted about Roger Lewis (WR-BGSU) last night. Every team that's replied to me so far (6) has him off their draft board currently.

It only takes one team, and this is due to his rape charges not his ability. He seems to have addressed that pretty clearly.

I can't help but watch the tape of @OttoLewis_ (Roger Lewis) and I can't help but feel like whoever gets him is getting a special player.

Re: Lewis at Combine
I've been waiting for the big boards of the top guys to come out. Near as I can tell McShay doesn't have a full ranking out (I could only find a top 100 for him), and he doesn't have Lewis in that list (not surprising).
Kiper has Lewis ranked as the #63 WR in the class and not in his top 300 prospects. Clearly Kiper ranks him as completely undraftable. Ugh...I hope he's WRONG.
CBS sports has Lewis ranked as the #24 WR in the class and 174 overall. That'd put him in the end of the 5th round. That's about where I expect him to fall.
Walter football has Lewis as the #31 WR in the class, and projected 5th-7th round. Again, about where I expect him to fall.
McShay doesn't seem to go beyond his top 100, and no mention of Lewis.
Ourlads has Lewis as the #57 WR and no overall projection.
Not pretty reading for his prospect status, let's hope the pundits are all wrong.

Re: Lewis at Combine
Kiper ...I think...has Braverman as like a 5th round guy. I understand that Braverman has more definitive position (strictly slot) than Lewis....but he's there because of his limitations. If I'm going to spend that 5th round pick on a MAC WR (and I probably wouldn't) I'd take Lewis or Taj Sharpe before Braverman
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
