They play one sport...we play another. At least we got paid.

Our real season starts in two weeks .....after we get our meaningless, feel good , beat the crap out of an overmatched program win against the FCS team.
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Any of these Big Ten teams I think BG beats or stay within 7-10 points of

Bottom line is this game is like the preseason. The games start next week and I for one am excited
Did you watch the same game as the rest of us?!?

Dropped passes, 1-arm missed tackles, Swiss cheese D & questionable play calling... NOT OSU's FAULT!

Elite program or not, that was a piss poor effort! It was an embarrassment!

And if that is the extent of THIS team THIS year, then it's going to be a .500 year IF we are lucky! Already dreading playing UT or any team that has any type of talent... I'm ranting a bit, yes, but look at the damn stat line!!!

I knew we would lose. I thought we'd lose by a lot. But I didn't think we'd lose by that much or that bad. One thing is for sure, when we get our ass kicked, we get it kicked majorly bad! We have been dealt the worst bowl loss in NCAA history and have allowed schools like Ohio State, Wisconsin and Western Kentucky to rewrite their record books against us. Today was thoroughly embarassing.
GO BG!!!

That was a long ride home...I didn't have any problems with osu fans today, a bright spot. In fact the guy in front of me was very cool. I looked at Jake and said "Why can't they all be like this?".

We got destroyed today, no other way to say it. I thought osu would be down a bit...sheet, that team is so loaded with talent they would beat the Browns...I'm half serious. We played poorly, at best. We had to make plays to stay in the game and we never did. I expected a much better showing.

On to next week....gonna have to put up with a lot of sheet at work this week. At least it's only 4 days. LOL

I'm beginning to think that we should just steer away from B1G teams and the sort in general, though I know that the pay is good and we won't, seeing as we'll be playing GA Tech, Oregon, and Michigan State in the near future. I'd rather see us play non-conference games against conferences like AAC, MW, Sun Belt. I think that when we play the lower profile Power 5 teams like Purdue we do well (obviously), but we were waayyy in over our heads today. Good grief. Surprisingly I wasn't heckled at all the entire trip, just some glares, but I'll take that. I feel like this wouldn't have stung as bad if we lost 77-10 to someone like Alabama, but the fact that it was, of all teams, Ohio State, makes it so much worse; there won't be any way to escape hearing about it until they beat Tulsa and forget all about us. I am looking forward to the rest of this season because I love BG football, but my confidence in this year's team took a major hit after today. I believed that we could win, but I realised that we would most likely lose. I didn't expect to lose by 67 points, though. Even Kent State kept it closer than that when they lost 66-0. Jinks and his men seemed very confident going into this game, and maybe they really thought that they were on to something. But geez, I don't know what to make of that. At the end of the day, everyone (outside of our realm) expected BG to get whooped, and we did, so no one is really surprised with the result. Maybe with the extent of the result, but, other than us, everyone will soon forget about this game. Let's get it together for N. Dakota and try to get some momentum to finish the non-conference strong.

No matter how you play it out this was embarrassing. Either we are way worse that we thought or we just did not come to play. I did not see much in the way of defensive adjustments. Not sure it would have mattered anyway. I don't think most MAC teams would lose to OSU by that score. It was a horrible job all around including the coaches.

You put as many resources into Football as BG does, you shouldn't have games like that. They weren't going to win that game, but you shouldn't ever get beat by 35+ much less 67. Jinx was talking about raising the profile of the program before the game...not a great start.

First of all, the Buckeye fans were great and I never heard a discouraging word from anyone. However, it was party time for them and we didn't mean a thing to them. Great day for a game! Bad game but I expected a beat down. I felt really bad for the 80+ year old woman who must have taken at least a half an hour to get up to row 30 in the C deck. The line behind her didn't feel the same. OSU has all the athletes. BG looked like it had never played the game before. totally over matched. However, no MAC school could have kept it within 50 points. It is what it is. We will lose 4-5 games this year. one thing that was very clear, Knapke is not Johnson. Morgan should have been given more of a chance. Also, the DBs have never been taught to look for the ball. Coppet had nowhere to go though the O line did a good job of protecting. We cannot determine our MAC season on this game. But we will not beat the top teams in the West. Traffic really sucked today! Go BG!

I'm not gonna dwell on the game. Urban has a likely playoff team this year and the talent disparity was immense. I think we'll know more about the team we have in the next three weeks as we take on a team we should beat in ND and two good tests against equal competition. Already looking forward to next weekend.

While I agree that you can't dwell on this game and it doesn't mean we can't rebound....I think there should be some caution. We played horrendous.

Our calling card is beating really bad MAC teams and basically splitting against the more talented MAC opponents. That's what we have to do...that is probably good enough to win the East and give you a chance to upset a better team coming out of the West.

Perhaps this will finally convince Moosbrugger and whoever is in control of future schedules to stop scheduling gross mismatches that lead to outcomes like this. 128 Division IA schools and the one with one of the smallest budgets plays the toughest opener of all.

And if you have cause to suspend a player you don't do it hours before a game when you've had the pertinent information for (literally) years.

If you had to worry about the BUDGET like he does, I don't think you will see a change in scheduling philosophy in the near future. We just need to be better! Loses, I can handle, embarrassment, I can not!
