Hard to see the cost vs benefit of chasing wins against 2nd echelon P5 teams. Referencing events from 10 or more years ago isn't a very compelling argument. The landscape has drastically changed...the Gulf between the haves and have nots more grows wider with every new media rights deal.

I don't disagree. I was more so playing devil's advocate about the topic. Things will undoubtedly become more difficult for the G5 in the next 5-10 years. Realignment isn't finished either and I think the G5 can strengthen themselves by fighting fire with fire with exploring their own super conferences.

MAC media rights come free in 2024. Curious to see what happens with that. ESPN uses the MAC solely now as a vehicle to promote the CFP and discuss other goings on across major college football. People who watch the games are either sad sacks like us who have an attachment to the schools playing or have money on the game. Honestly I think an entity like Amazon who is looking to add to their sports portfolio might be worth a look if they're interested.

He was a disaster at NC, but that's a solid hire for that program.

Rumors that Hugh Freeze is taking the Auburn job. Notable given BG opens against Liberty next year.

Can’t think of a more overrated coach. Great first 8 years and then the program completely fell apart over the last 4
