Made a Google Sheet to track
Sure to change as we explore more options and learn more about them.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing
Any of the top 10 I would interview. Lembo wouldn't be a flashy hire but he would probably be solid.

Gaps indicate tiers for me.
* indicates HC experience

1 Bob Chesney HC Holy Cross*

2 Vince Kehres DC Toledo*
3 Brian Wright HC Pittsburg St*

4 Kevin Johns OC Duke

5 Trei Oliver HC NC Central*
6 Brent Bolte HC Bemidji St*
7 Willie Simmons HC FAMU*
8 Jay Hill DC BYU*
9 Brent Vigen HC Montana St*

10 JaMarcus Shephard AHC Washington

11 Pete Lembo AHC S. Carolina*
12 Tony Annese HC Ferris St*

13 Graham Harrell OC Purdue
14 Brennan Marion OC UNLV

15 Mickey Mental HC Weber St*
16 Deland McCullough RB Notre Dame
17 Matt Simon OC Minnesota
18 Zach Azzanni WR NYJ
19 Mike Hart RB Michigan
20 Brennan Carroll OC Arizona

It seems like easy money. Other than to call people and gauge unofficial interest before the job officially opens I can't imagine that we couldn't take 5 of us in here and add a recent same-conference college football player at our level (I'd grab one from Toledo to be honest), work for 3 days, have one meeting, and hand a list of 10 people to a school to interview with complete ease. I guess like most things they are selling their connections
It seems easy until BG spends 7 weeks to hire SL. Can I get a #conmankithughes from the gallery!?

I know Loeffler doesn’t look at this site…I know I wouldn’t.
I would love to see his reaction if he saw this thread and 75 names listed in a google doc to replace him.
I hope he’s back for 2024 and Globe gets to do this again next year.

Why do you want him back? I've seen nothing compelling in his time at BG that screams this guy can lead BG back to winning titles. Or even challenging for them.

...Or even able to stay within 3tds of competent mac teams.

Seriously his record is putrid but every season we get completely demolished in so many games even his "good year" we had a point differential of -118

I was joking…I’ve been one of the few people who has seen this coming for years.
This thread is completely silly at this point. Mind as well start naming Perrysburg and Findlay high school D Coordinators.
It just makes me laugh to think of Loeffler of DVDM for that matter logging on and seeing this list.

Pope Francis...HC Vatican city

Pros....Huge worldwide fundraising network, Proven leader who's risen to the top of an organization of millions of followers. Has a really cool car.

Cons...No experience in America...let alone the Midwest. Oversees an organization riddled with sex scandals. Thinks football is soccer
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Some thoughts

1. Holy Cross guy lost and is just 3-2 on the season but 1 loss was to BC and one to the BG of the East, Harvard.
2. Curious the thoughts of peeps about D-2 coaches vs FCS coaches. I have been pro Coordinator so long this has been tough for me to wrap my head around.
3. Brandon Moore and San Diego are just 1-4. He really can't be an option
4. Walt Bell fired per other thread
5. Anyone I should add to the list? OCs or DCs?
