MAC Report Online's Recruiting Rankings

Dave finally got around to doing a recruiting analysis for MAC Report Online. His ranking placed Akron on top. It's more of a thumbnail/highlight overview of the recruiting classes.

He also compiled a consensus recruiting ranking taking rankings from five sources, MAC Report Online, Vandelay Sports, Rivals, Scout and College Football News. The consensus shows how much diverse opinion there is out there about the recruiting classes this year. Dave also thinks it shows a bit how off the mark CFN, Rivals and Scout (i.e. those who only give cursory attention to the MAC) are on the subject. Anyway, the outcome of his consensus was a bit surprising. Check it out through our link on our homepage.

I thought it was interesting to look at the "Consensus 2006 Rankings". Time will tell, but it seems like Akron, Ball State, UT, Miami, and BG were head and shoulders above everyone else and not much separated those first 5 schools. It will be interesting to see if Nate Davis can stay eligible (I believe there was some question regarding this) and lead Ball State into that top tier of the MAC over the next 4-5 years.

Not true if you believe in Rivals' rankings? According to them, Buffalo had a better recruiting class than Miami, BG and TU! What drunken writer put THAT little bit together?
