I don't see how they could hire an AD from a school without a football program.

Once the three finalists were announced, I knew PK had it in the bag. He was the most rounded of all the candidates.

I wish him much success. He leaves BGSU in far better shape and for that, I thank him.

ROLL ALONG!

I admit that I know nothing about New Mexico, but what would be the draw there? It must be money because I don't see how it is anything except a lateral move at best.

New Mexico is right up there with Iraq, Syria, and Kenya in terms of places I'd never want to live.

Krebs would be entering a school which has nice, new facilities, good donors, and he'd be closer to his wife's family.

Not to mention a pretty good pay raise if I had to guess.

The Sudan and Congo are couple of good places to pass on, as well. I'm no fan of North Korea, either.

Actually, Albuquerque seems like a very appealing place to live. Cheap. Nice weather. Big enough.

If Krebs is indeed gone, I echo what RUIT stated. I wish him nothing but the best as he has done a fantastic job for BGSU.

Hey Schadenfreude, Just to let you know....UNM does have a football team.
Remember they had a female kicker a few years ago that got former Colorado head coach Gary Barnett in trouble for his remarks.

Here is a link if you would be interested in seeing UNM football/athletics.

one of the finalists was from wichita state. the shockers are without a football team. there was a fatal plane crash in 1970.

Schad,

You're right on re: this one....led to the MERCY BOWL played the following year as a fundraiser to help defray medical bills for the Cal Poly players......

But don't forget that MARSHALL also lost its team via a plane crash, sometime in the 70's if I recall correctly.... as much as we detested the team from WVA, it said a lot that they were able to rebuild a program literally from the ashes.
